Bio blurb

Pokémon has been one of my favorite pastimes since I saw a few bits of the anime's first season, back when it first aired in the US. I got my Red Version in October 1998, and I was hooked. I have more than a few main handheld versions, and several side games as well. Away from the interwebs, I recently earned a degree in Graphic Design, so all the fiddling around I do here with text/images/color is actually good practice for other things. And it's fun trying to learn HTML by using wiki markup. I also enjoy digital painting, cooking, and Krav Maga.

On Bulbapedia

I joined Bulbapedia on September 17, 2008. At first I only fixed spelling and grammar mistakes, but soon learned of all the different projects. Almost everything was taken care of, except for Project Walkthroughs. The place was pretty dead when I first found it, so I've sort of made it my mission to see it completed. By doing this, I hope to help make Bulbapedia the one-stop shop for all Pokémon information.

History

By October 2012, I had written roughly six walkthroughs from scratch, and started on the seventh. The guides for Red/Blue, Gold/Silver, and Yellow were completed long ago. Next I reformmated the guide for FireRed/LeafGreen in the time leading up to the HeartGold/SoulSilver release, and started on those in March 2010. The Crystal guide followed soon after, and the guide for Black/White was completed within the next year. Fifteen months later, progress started on Black 2/White 2. My goal is to one day have complete, comprehensive walkthroughs for every applicable game in the Pokémon series.

Gaming

I train them all, though my favorite types are Dragon, Ice, Flying, Water, and Grass. Articuno is my favorite legendary, the first I ever caught. I had completed a living Pokédex in my Diamond version, all 493 species, before transferring a decent amount to my Black version. I use my Action Replay to get through the game faster for the walkthroughs, then I restart without. No 999 stats for me, that's so overkill. Faster Egg hatches are nice, though.
