Yup, this is me, SharKing (シャーキング SharKing).

I'm just here to help Bulbapedia to the best of my ability. I have been doing so since July 24, 2008, after going over the site a lot and being inspired to join. I am also active on YouTube as SharKing319, posting walkthrough videos on the main Pokémon games. So far, I'm working on Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Silver, and Pokémon Emerald.

Here, I contribute mostly to trivia. I often reveal highly obscure details through trivia. I do contribute to other sections of pages, but I find trivia the most fun to add to.

If you're curious about the name "SharKing," know this-- it is not based on the act of sharking! It is actually derived from "Sharpedo," my favorite Pokémon, and "king" (In other words, I'm the King of Sharpedo! LOL).

BIG NEWS!! Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver are out in Japan, and I'm very psyched! Why? Because I'm getting the Japanese HeartGold! I'll be able to help by posting tutor moves, and other things, too!

SharKing's Pokemon of the Week

GhostPoison

Gengar (ゲンガー), the Shadow Pokémon.

HP: 60

Attack: 65

Defense: 60

SpAtk: 130

SpDef: 75

Speed: 110

Gengar is a mischeivous and malevolent Pokémon that feeds on the life forces of other beings. It pretends to be a person's shadow, then suddenly acts erratic and laughs, taking delight in the terror of its victim.

Gengar is a powerful Template:Type2 and Template:Type2 Pokémon. It has excellent potential on many teams. Why? It has a diverse movepool, and outstanding Special Attack and Speed. It's great for either damage or status; your choice.

It can make wonderful use of Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb, due to STAB. It also has access to Thunderbolt, Energy Ball, Dark Pulse (one of the less recommended moves due to bad coverage), Focus Blast, Psychic, and on the status side, Will-O-Wisp, Hypnosis, Toxic, Substitute, Destiny Bond, Taunt, Confuse Ray, and Trick. Truthfully, I don't know why it can't learn Thunder Wave.

It can be given Choice Specs and a Timid nature, to occasionally come in and do a lot of damage. It can also Trick a Choice Scarf to the foe. And it can work the Sub-Petaya set.

And there are some new Tutor moves in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. If I'm right, Gengar can learn an especially enticing move: Nasty Plot. This led me to form a strategy that I will use if it can learn the move.

Nickname Pending

Timid / Focus Sash / Levitate

Shadow Ball

Thunderbolt

Focus Blast

Nasty Plot

252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP

That's right, it'll be a Nasty Plot sweeper!
