Skarmory is widely renowned as a phenominal physical wall, due to its impressive Defense stat. Though its "official" counterpart in the Special field is Mantine, Blissey is seen as a better option. As a result, this has caused the wall strategy "SkarmBliss."

Many people use Skarmory as a Spikes, laying down spikes and using Whirlwind or, as an "easier" option, Roar. This causes all but Flyings and Levitate to be damaged upon switching.

Often, trainers give Skarmory a method of healing. This includes Roost and Leftovers, or Rest and a Chesto Berry.
<font color="#FF0000">Scizor can no longer use its wings for flying; instead, it uses them to regulate its body temperature. Scizor scares off smaller foes by upraising its pincers, which bear a resemblence to a menacing creature's face.</font>

Scizor can be an excellent battler, with its high Attack stat and reasonable Defense stat. It's not that speedy, though, and a Fire move will easily bring it down.

As of Platinum, it's famous as a Bullet Puncher. This is due to STAB and the ability Technician, which gives this move 90 base power; impressive for a priority move. Swords Dance is often used to make Bullet Punch even more deadly. Should this strategy be declared Uber? That's being debated.

But there's more than Bullet Punch. There are many good attack options, including Iron Head, X-Scissor, Brick Break, and Night Slash. Aerial Ace can be a force with Technician.

For attacks, it has the options of Steel Wing and Drill Peck. Both do a light hit with Skarmory.
Often, Roost is given to Scizor, as a method of healing.

An unrecognized strategy discovered by XSonictheH is the "CurseSkarm" strategy.
Scizor can even learn Baton Pass, making it handy for passing Swords Dance or Iron Defense.

As suggested, it utilizes the move Curse, reducing Speed and increasing its decent Attack and high Defense. Good moves for attack include Steel Wing, Drill Peck, Brave Bird, and X-Scissor. Roost is the best way to heal, and a suggested EV spread is 252 HP, 252 Special Defense, and 6 Attack. I recommend a Brave or Adamant Nature.
Because of Bullet Punch, Scizor is currently way OU.

Yup, this is me, SharKing (シャーキング SharKing).

I'm just here to help Bulbapedia to the best of my ability. I have been doing so since July 24, 2008, after going over the site a lot and being inspired to join. I am also active on YouTube as SharKing319, posting walkthrough videos on the main Pokémon games. So far, I'm working on Pokémon Yellow.

Here, I contribute mostly to trivia. I often reveal highly obscure details through trivia. I do contribute to other sections of pages, but I find trivia the most fun to add to.

If you're curious about the name "SharKing," know this-- it is not based on the act of sharking! It is actually derived from "Sharpedo," my favorite Pokémon, and "king" (In other words, I'm the King of Sharpedo! LOL).

SharKing's Pokemon of the Week

SteelFlying

Scizor (ハッサム), the Pincer Pokémon.

HP: 70

Attack: 130

Defense: 100

SpAtk: 55

SpDef: 80

Speed: 65

Scizor can no longer use its wings for flying; instead, it uses them to regulate its body temperature. Scizor scares off smaller foes by upraising its pincers, which bear a resemblence to a menacing creature's face.

Scizor can be an excellent battler, with its high Attack stat and reasonable Defense stat. It's not that speedy, though, and a Template:Type2 move will easily bring it down.

As of Pokémon Platinum, it's famous as a Bullet Puncher.

Often, Roost is given to Scizor, as a method of healing.

Scizor can even learn Baton Pass, making it handy for passing Swords Dance or Iron Defense.

Because of Bullet Punch, Scizor is currently way OU.

SharKing's To-Do List

 • Become an Administrator
 • Increase mainspace edit number to 500
 • Add necessary Pokémon Mystery Dungeon info to Abilities
 • Get a calendar on this page (UTC-6)
 • Start a page that won't get deleted (Like Sho's Raichu got deleted)
 • Add info to Pokémon trivia ("[Insert Pokémon name here] has the highest base [Insert stat name here] stat of all [Insert type name here]-type Pokémon.)

今後の計画!シルバー版のチュートリアルは、ポケモン!

I'm thinking of doing a theme for my Pokémon Silver Walkthrough: naming my Pokemon after users of the 'Pedia! I already determined TTE and Deth, but if you would like your name here, make a request on my talk page before I have 6! Don't forget to specify the Pokémon that represents you! Note that it must be found along the way of Johto.

Team decisions are over! I think I can work with this team.
