Although Pokémon is one of my main interests, it is not my only one. I am a HUGE [[wp:Legends of the Hidden Temple]] fan, and I am a member of a well-known message board. Another interest of mine is writing, and I hope to become a journalist when I am older. I served as one of four news editors on my high school newspaper during my senior year, and I was also responsible for creating their new web site. When I begin college in the fall, I hope to continue this pursuit. I also used to be a big part of the now-defunct [[wp:Animorphs|Animorphs]] community, contributing to several web sites there.

History with Pokémon

I was first introduced to Pokémon in July of 1999 when I was on vacation. I was watching TV when Pokémon came on. I had seen commercials for it before, and I had also seen the very end of Primeape Goes Bananas and Pokémon Scent-Sation. But I was also a little nervous about watching it, because I had read in a magazine the show caused seizures. Nevertheless, I continued to watch the show, and it ended up being the first episode of the series. I was hooked from the start, and now Pokémon is one of my favorite TV shows.

For Christmas 2000, I received Pokémon Silver, my very first Pokémon video game. Not long after that, I received Pokémon Blue. I have since completed Silver and Sapphire, defeated all gym leaders in Blue, and am currently working on Emerald. I also own a used version of Pokémon Stadium 2.

I am also fairly active in the Pokémon online community. I was a member of the Serebii.net forums in 2001-2002, and I became a member of the PokéMasters forums in late 2002. I have also contributed to web sites such as Pojo.com and Dogasu's Backpack. I recently rejoined the Serebii.net forums in May 2006. In late 2006, I joined the Bulbagarden forums for the first time, although I had visited there many times prior.

Contributions to Bulbapedia

I joined Bulbapedia in April of 2006, and I have since contributed to quite a few sections. I have created several pages for Pokémon voice actors, characters, and I have cleaned up several articles that needed it. Currently, I am in the process of identifying who plays all of the main characters' Pokémon in the English version. As of now, I have identified nearly all of them.

Another area I have some minor expertise in is English songs. I have contributed to many song articles, which include adding episodes that specific songs featured on Pikachu's Jukebox and Pokémon Karaokémon were in.

I have had many proud moments on Bulbapedia. They include when I went through the now-defunct Category of Pokémon Missing the Generation Number and classified all of them. More than 200 articles later, every single Pokémon now has the correct generation number. I also went through every Master Quest, Advanced Battle and Battle Frontier episode to make sure the English theme song was correctly linked.

Articles/Changes I'm Planning:

  • Voice actors
  • Anime-exclusive characters and locations
  • Completing character lists for episodes needing them.
  • Replacing Japanese names with English names in the episode guides.
  • Figuring out English voice actors for characters that don't have them.
  • Fixing up articles that don't meet Bulbapedia's standards.
  • Correcting incorrect information.
  • Getting screenshots of characters that need them.

Articles I've Created:

My specialty is the anime, and I have created countless articles for that genre. Most of them are character of the day articles, but I have also done anime-exclusive locations, voice actors (both English and Japanese) and lists of characters in episodes.

Project Anime & Project COD

Recently, I signed on as a member of Project Anime and Project COD. As a part of these projects, I hope to improve many, if not all, of the episode and character of the day articles on Bulbapedia. I'm planning on adding character of the day information to most, if not all, of the CotDs from all the seasons up until Battle Frontier (mostly because I have seen none of those episodes).

I am planning on making a list of what all of the characters of the day need (ie: Japanese name, English/Japanese VA, Screenshots).

Other Areas of Interest

Although Pokémon is one of my main interests, it is not my only one. I am a HUGE Legends of the Hidden Temple fan, and I am a member of a well-known message board. Another interest of mine is writing, and I hope to become a journalist when I am older. I served as one of four news editors on my high school newspaper during my senior year, and I was also responsible for creating their new web site. I am currently a college freshman, and I am very excited to be writing for the newspaper. I also used to be a big part of the now-defunct Animorphs community, contributing to several web sites there.
