I got a problem adding Sigs...

Hey-o, I was gonna try to add a custom sig, but whenever I put in the HTML code into the Signature section of my Preferences, it keeps saying Invalid raw signature.

You can use  to make things smaller, and  will underline. There's also the option to use  to change font size too (the number there adjusts the size), but do note, that's disallowed for signatures, as making the text any bigger would disrupt line spacing. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:55, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Yep, you've got '''this''', this, and I believe the span class trom is thinking of would be this. Generally, the first method is the best if you're trying to make a signature, since you'll use less characters then the latter methods (always good for trying to fit a big signature into the limited space you get in preferences). CoolPikachu! told me you were the one to go to for help with signatures. I need the very basics. I just want a signature with a few colours, bold or italics and have the start of my name link to my userpage and the end link to my talk page. Well, first things first, you can sign with four tildes ~~~~. By default, it's a pretty basic link to your userpage; generally, if you're going to customize it, that coding is a good place to start.

In your case, you would have this: Zephy.Changes

If you wanted to, say, customize it a bit, there's a bunch of options...

Mayhaps something like this: Zephy.Changes

Yeah, it's supposed to do the day/time thing (mod 28) and if it's between 0 and 25, it displays the Unown sprites (with 0 being A, 1 being B, 2 being C...). Or, if the original calculation was a 26 or 27, it's supposed to display this Template:Sprite/forme/noappear. The mainspace page is here: Template:Sprite/2/26formes but it's not as davanced as my subpage that I gave you up there.--Mister E 13 21:44, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

I think I see the problem then. The #switch: function automatically assumes pipes | and equal-signs = are option dividers; since you have a full table inside the #switch:, it's entirely broken up. You'll need to replace every pipe in the table with the {{!}} template (that just sticks a | in there, but doesn't mess up the code). I'm looking, but I don't know if we have a template for the = symbol... we should probably, but I don't know where it is.

A work-around would be to make that template into two seperate ones, one having the switch, the other having the table. That way, you can transclude the table into the switch, without breaking the switch code. It might be a little unwieldy, though. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 21:52, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Fixed it, I think. For one, like I mentioned before, you do need some of the | and = to stick around, so the switch works; it's just the extra ones that need to be transcluded.

Secondly, it took a little while to realize, but the switch options were only triggering on 25 and 27, and not on anything in-between; turns out all the extra options you had were actually being counted separately, so if it happened to choose, say, 15, it would use that option exactly. As a blank spot. So I got those working as well.

"Naked" isn't a bad word on it's own, and neither is "Tree Hugger". The name seems to be PG-13 to me at most, and that's about what we normally aim for. I agree with your opinion on protecting the article, however, I believe that you should higher the protection level. At this moment, any registered user is able to edit it, and it's not that hard for an account to be created. Therefore, I believe that you should upgrade the protection level so only administrators can edit it, just to be safe. --Theryguy 512 18:38, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

The semi-protection also limits editing to users who have had their accounts for four days, which generally cuts down on a chunk of gun-jumping edits. Project MoveDex anime section

I'd like to suggest that the "In the anime" section be moved down below the list of ones who can learn the move since practically everything above it already is game-related. See Aerial Ace for example. _*tc 26_* 10:46, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, below the learnset list is a long way down, but yeah, with the new "in the anime" section style, I think it would be needed. I'll update the style and formatting section of the project accordingly, we can move the section as the templates are added in, I say. On that note, since you're still working on the template if I'm not mistaken, I'll wait before I update anything. But I've updated Aerial Ace as you suggested; we'll use that move as an example for now. When the template's finished and everything's agreed on, you've got permission to edit the style and formatting on the project page yourself.

If we're going to list the anime section way down after the learnsets, however, that leaves us a bit of room; I'd suggest making the template centered on the page instead of to the left, since it won't need to worry about colliding with the normal move infobox anymore. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:28, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Shadow move damage category

Yeah, I need to get to work on that. The template already has the damage category in there for Shadow moves, but it's hidden by default; I can simply remove the code that hides it. I was going to build it into the template, but most of the options ended up being very clunky. I decided to just keep it in the Effect section.

Small Question

Hello! I have a small question about area pages... If a Pokémon appear in a certain area in two (or three) games of the same generation, with the same rate but at different levels (it happens a lot in DPPt), how am I supposed to put it? To clarify, here comes an example. Lets assume that in Cave X, only Zubat appear, at level 5 in Diamond and Pearl and level 7 in Platinum. Which of the following is correct?

A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here.
