Hi! I am Aggron989 and I joined Bulbapedia in December of 2012. Pokémon is easily one of my favorite franchises of all time. As my username suggests, one of my favorite species of Pokémon is {{p|Aggron}}, despite the fact that it receives 4x damage from both [[Fighting (type)|Fighting]] and [[Ground (type)|Ground]] type attacks.

If I had to say my favorite Pokémon type, it would probably by {{t|Psychic}}. Psychic Pokémon tend to have very good [[Special Attack|special]] [[Special Defense|stats]], as well as respectable speed. I like pretty much all types, except for {{t|Flying}}, which doesn't really impress me all that much compared with the other types.


I also have a certain distaste for legendary Pokémon. While they're cool for a little while, they're just not that useful at all. They're at such a high level in the wild that when I catch one, its stats don't grow nearly as much as the Pokémon I've been carefully training from low levels. Because of this, I pretty much catch them for the Pokédex entries and then leave them in my PC boxes.
I don't remember exactly when I really got into Pokémon, but I've seen a lot of the anime episodes and own a lot of the games. When I first started playing the games, I didn't know how to do anything and I borrowed somebody else's {{p|Swampert}} to power my way through my first game, Pokémon Ruby. After I learned how to properly play Pokémon, I restarted my save file a few times and now I have what I consider to be a very good team. After playing Ruby, my Pokémon obsession has been growing steadily larger and I now own Ruby, Emerald, Silver, two LeafGreens (because I'd lost my first one for a while), Pearl, Platinum, SoulSilver, White, and White 2. I also own three Mystery Dungeon games, all three Ranger games, Pokémon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire, Pokémon Snap, and Pokémon Stadium (which I never play anymore).


While I try to make sure my edits are perfect the first time I make them, I am a human being and make mistakes like the next person. If you have an issue with anything I do on Bulbapedia, please either fix it or [[User talk:Aggron989|ask me about it]].

You'll probably find me helping out most often with articles somehow related to [[Kanto]], [[Hoenn]], and [[Almia]]. My favorite games are set in these regions.
I don't really have a favorite type, since it keeps changing. For a while, it was {{t|Psychic}}, but I don't have any one true favorite type. However, my least favorite type is {{t|Flying}}. I love the way Flying-type Pokémon are portrayed in the anime and everything, and if Pokémon were real I would love Flying-types. In the games, however, they fall remarkably short of {{tt|every other type|I haven't played Generation VI yet, so I don't have a judgment on the Fairy type}} in my opinion.


On Bulbapedia, one of my goals is to help expand articles that need it. There are a lot of [[BP:Find or fix a stub|stubs]] currently on Bulbapedia - with a little more information added, they can become much better or be merged into one larger article.
Something else about me is that I very much dislike legendary Pokémon for several reasons. They are caught at a very high level in the wild, so even with the great base stats they'll still be weaker than your already-trained Pokémon. The only {{p|Regigigas|non-event legendary}} that is caught at a low level has a {{a|Slow Start|terrible ability}}. Speaking of abilities, way too many legendaries have {{a|Pressure|the same one}}. Also, in terms of overall appearance, the legendary Pokémon {{p|Zapdos|started}} {{p|Moltres|off}} {{p|Articuno|looking}} {{p|Mew|pretty}} {{p|Lugia|reasonably}} {{p|Celebi|cool}}, but then they {{p|Darkrai|began}} {{p|Thundurus|to}} {{p|Tornadus|look}} {{p|Landorus|more}} {{p|Reshiram|and}} {{p|Zekrom|more}} {{p|Kyurem|ridiculous}}. That said, I do have a favorite legendary, which is {{p|Heatran}}. Again, I have absolutely no idea why. I literally just decided one day that Heatran was my favorite legendary Pokémon.

  • More extensive descriptions about each Ranger mission, as well as the actual mission text

My Proudest Accomplishments
