Name origin
To those who are wondering, 神奇超龍 can be roughly translated as "Miraculous ultra dragon". 神奇 is derived from 神奇寶貝, the official Taiwanese translation of Pokémon. The 神智 in my (new) signature means "mind" or "wisdom". 超龍 can be derived from 超能力 (psychic) and 龍 (dragon). As for 長龍, it just means long dragon*.
Contributions
I'm not really that important. I just help the site by doing some minor edits (sometimes). But basically, below are stuff that I usually do here:
- Japanese names (Just adding possible references)
- Chinese names (Some of which are interesting...)
- Adding the etymology of Pokémon names *
- Improving this page (12 out of 156 Gen V Pokémon completed. Still needing help with those Cantonese romanizations.)
- Removing fan names (Fans are never satisfied with the official ones)
- Adding names of the characters and places (I hope the ones in BW are good)
- Adding names of moves and abilities (Too many to list...)
- Adding the etymology of Pokémon names *
- Chinese episode titles * (May start adding Best Wishes (神奇寶貝 超級願望！*) episodes around the end of January.)
For now, I won't be contributing much in here. (I'll still be around) Besides my very busy schedule, I'm helping a bit in here, a possible Chinese affiliate of Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis. The administrator has already requested here and here.
