(After looking into it again, confirmed that while a message does appear, it can be a variety of different messages based on the legendary which appears. Also found a pattern of what legendaries do when they first appear before battling them.)

Legendary Pokémon are more likely to appear the farther the player gets in Ultra Warp Ride. The Legendary Pokémon which appears is distinguished by its cry before battling it.
Gameplay
By traveling through the Ultra Space Wilds, the player has a chance of encountering 20 species of non-Legendary Pokémon not native to Alola, as well as Ultra Beasts and Legendary Pokémon from previous generations. Pokémon encountered through the Ultra Warp Ride (excluding Legendary Pokémon and Ultra Beasts) have a chance to be forced Shiny. The Shininess of these Pokémon is determined when the player arrives at the Ultra Space Wilds, and soft resetting after saving in the Ultra Space Wilds will not change it. The probability that a non-Legendary Pokémon encountered this way will be Shiny depends on the rarity of the wormhole and the distance traveled, but is always at least 1%, making it significantly more likely than the usual rate.

Only one Pokémon will appear once per visit. If the Pokémon in question is a Legendary Pokémon, the screen will flash white and a message the will be displayed on screen upon entry into that area within Ultra Space.
Legendary Pokémon are also more likely to appear the farther the player gets in the Ultra Warp Ride and the rarer the warp hole they eventually enter. The Legendary Pokémon that appears is distinguished by its cry and its silhouette before battling it. Legendary Pokémon have only the standard chance of being Shiny, and this chance is not determined upon arrival in the Ultra Space Wilds, but can change between soft resets.

Note that 3-ring "blooming" wormholes are guaranteed to contain Legendary Pokémon (which do not have increased odds of being Shiny), unless all Legendary Pokémon which could be encountered in that color of wormhole have already been caught. If the player has not yet visited Ultra Megalopolis, the selection of random Legendary Pokémon excludes Special Pokémon.

Only one Pokémon will appear per visit. If the Pokémon in question is a Legendary Pokémon, the screen will flash white and a message will be displayed upon entry into that area. Legendary Pokémon found here will respawn indefinitely until caught.

In addition, all Pokémon found here, Legendary or not, have a perfect 31 in at least three of their individual values.

Any Pikachu, Cubone, or Exeggcute that evolves into Raichu, Marowak, or Exeggutor while the player is in the Ultra Space Wilds will evolve into its standard form rather than its Alolan form.

Ultra Beast Worlds
:Main articles: Ultra Deep Sea, Ultra Jungle, Ultra Desert, Ultra Plant, Ultra Crater, Ultra Forest, and Ultra Ruin
Ultra Beast Worlds can be reached through white warp holes. Once the player has entered a white wormhole, they will land in one of seven different worlds, which are each home to a different Ultra Beast. The world of each beast is designed to reflect its typing and/or appearance. The chart below displays the Ultra Beasts found in Ultra Space and the odds of encountering each of their worlds.
The odds of entering each of the Ultra Beast worlds through a white wormhole depends on the distance that the player traveled and the number of rings surrounding the wormhole.

Pokémon world locations

Ultra Space Wilds (Japanese: ウルトラスペースゼロ Ultra Space Zero) is the home of various Pokémon not native to Alola, accessible through warp holes in Ultra Warp Ride, located several thousand light-years from Alola. It only appears in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

The probability that a non-Legendary Pokémon encountered this way will be Shiny depends on the rarity of the wormhole and the distance traveled, but is always at least 1%, making it significantly more likely than the usual rate.[1]

Legendary Pokémon are also more likely to appear the farther the player gets in the Ultra Warp Ride and the rarer the warp hole they eventually enter.[2] The Legendary Pokémon that appears is distinguished by its cry and its silhouette before battling it.

Cliff World

Cliff World

Ultra Space Wilds (Cliff World) (Japanese: ウルトラスペースゼロ(がけの世界 Ultra Space Zero (Cliff World)) can be reached through red warp holes. When a Legendary Pokémon is encountered in this area, it is first seen flying in the sky where only its shadow is seen.

Geography

The Cliff World consists of a simple path on top of a cliff or mountain of some sort. The pathway leads from the red warp hole to where the Pokémon is located as a shadow in the sky.

Items

Ultra Beast Worlds

Main articles: Ultra Deep Sea, Ultra Jungle, Ultra Desert, Ultra Plant, Ultra Crater, Ultra Forest, and Ultra Ruin

The Journey of One Dream

In The Journey of One Dream, Vin and Dominic battle a Mewtwo in Ultra Space. Despite giving it their all, they are forced to flee the scene after a grueling battle.

Trivia

 • The music for the Ultra Space Wilds is a reversed arrangement of the "Alola Region Theme".
 • The music for the different Legendary Pokémon encounters are their original battle themes.
