Description
The Ultra Ruin is a destroyed futuristic Hau'oli City from another dimension, specifically the shopping district. The ruins are situated on top of a toppled skyscraper, most likely the mall. The only characters that can be interacted with are a man in a protective UB-themed suit, and Guzzlord. Within the ruins are several items that can be interacted with such as a rusted sign, electronic Hau'oli City beachfront display and posters for shops and a power plant. The sign reads "...oli... ...ity Ha... "Servi... ... ...ity's... ...need..."", which implies it is from the city hall as in the player's world, Hau'oli City's hall has a sign that reads "Hau'oli City Hall "Serving the city's every need!"", making the connection very obvious.
In this world very few people remain, as most people have fled to other worlds. All that is left is ruins and many Guzzlord, however the suited man at the entrance states that Guzzlord's numbers have been dwindling recently, if he is visited a second time. Guzzlord have apparently existed since before the man was born, and they eat mainly trash and rubble. This implies Guzzlord are mutated pokemon from the players time (eg. Further hinting this, the man also reveals the technology of the world was once very advanced, as relocation discs scattered within the ruins are small but powerful storage devices, however the machine that reads them is broken which renders them useless. The air in this world is very toxic and he advises the player not to breathe too much without protective gear, and also mentions he has never seen the color blue before except for on the display screen within the ruins, meaning the sky and sea have been polluted for many years. The player's Rotom Pokédex will also jump out when examining rubble within the ruins, wondering what could have possibly happened to the world.
