Tsubaki (Japanese: ツバキ Tsubaki) is the rival of Jou from Pocket Monsters HGSS Jou's Big Adventure.
History
Tsubaki first appears when Jou battles him. They become rivals during their battle. Later, he meets with Jou again while he took on Team Rocket, this time with a Meganium. He reluctantly helps Jou out when he dealt with Ekans. Once again, they had their rival battle but it came to a stop when Team Rocket showed up. Tsubaki and Jou then continue their battle with Team Rocket, with both Trainers in sync with each other. Tsubaki last appeared when he heard Professor Elm on the phone talking about Jou's Totodile evolving into a Feraligatr. Tsubaki then walks off with Meganium, showing that he has full respect for Jou.
Character
In contrast to his rival, Jou, Tsubaki is more into Pokémon that are tough. After taking on Team Rocket, Tsubaki softened up a bit and decided to work with Jou in taking down Team Rocket.

| Tsubaki's Meganium first appeared as a Chikorita and is his only known Pokémon. It is unknown where he got Chikorita from but it first appeared when it had a battle with Totodile. Chikorita evolved into a Bayleef and then into a Meganium sometime before the events of Team Rocket. It battled with Totodile once more and then took on Team Rocket.
Meganium's known moves are Tackle, Razor Leaf and Magical Leaf. | ||
