Trinity (Japanese: タカミ Takami) is a character of the day in who appeared in The Perfect Match, she was one of the competitors in the Whirl Cup Competition and Misty's rival in the tournament.

History

Trinity is a polite, level-headed, strong Water Pokémon Trainer. She finds Misty soon after their win against Ash in the competition. Impressed with her performance, she decides to personally meet Misty. Brock remembers her because of her previous match, mentioning that she fought well.

She defeated Misty in the third round where she faces her Poliwhirl and Corsola and wins after a tough battle. Just before the match begins between her and a powerful trainer with his Feraligatr, she, Misty, Ash and the Trainer unite to defeat Team Rocket, who was trying to steal the Great Spirit Sapphire Sea from the hands of Maya.

All of them then join the attacks of their Pokemon and defeat Jessie, James and Meowth. After that, the battle continues, but she loses the battle. As a result, she is ranked second in the tournament.

At the end of the episode, she appears next to Ash, Misty and Brock talking about his decision to improve his skills with Water Pokémon for the competition in the next year.

Trinity also appears in a cameo in the next episode and also in Espeon, Not Included in a flashback when Misty says about her experiences since the last meeting with Sakura.
