Trick (Japanese: トリック Trick) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III.
Effect
The user switches held items with the target. Fails if neither has a held item, if either Pokémon is holding Griseous Orb or Mail, or if either Pokémon has Sticky Hold. It also fails if either Pokémon has Multitype and is holding a plate.
Generation IV
Trick will fail if its target has the ability Multitype or the target is Origin Forme Giratina. All other effects are the same.
