A Trial Captain (Japanese: キャプテン Captain) are Pokémon Trainers that preside over a certain Island challenge trial and give guidance to participating Trainers. Trial Captains have previously completed their own island's challenge before becoming a Captain. Like Gym Leaders, they specialize in certain type of Pokémon.
