Trivia

  • Trapinch has a higher Attack than its evolved form Vibrava.
  • Trademarked Romanisation of Trapinch's Japanese name is an example of Engrish. The more correct form would be Knackler.

Origin

It is based on the larval stage of the antlion, who spend their days in sandy pits before maturing into a winged, adult stage.

Name origin

Trapinch's name is a combination of trap and pinch.
