This male Trainer (Japanese: トレーナー Trainer) is a character of the day who appeared in If the Scarf Fits, Wear It!.
He left his Lickitung at the Day Care Center some time after the Pokémon Summer Academy. Angie was asked by her parents, who run the Day Care Center, to look after Lickitung while they were out on business. However, while doing so, she accidentally triggered its evolution into Lickilicky, a scenario frowned upon by Day Care businesses.
Though Angie's parents were angry at her for doing this, this Trainer was ecstatic because he didn't have the time to evolve Lickitung himself, thus allowing Angie to avoid any punishment.

Knowing she would be in trouble for evolving another Trainer's Pokémon, and as Lickilicky refused to be kept inside its Poké Ball, Angie hid Lickilicky in a cave. However, Lickilicky escaped and people began believing it was a "Scarf Monster," due to the scarf that Angie made it wear. Team Rocket attempted to capture it, even after learning it wasn't a monster, but Angie was able to expertly command Lickilicky and thwart the trio. Although Angie's parents were upset with her for evolving Lickitung, its Trainer could not be happier about what had happened as he couldn't be bothered to evolve it himself. As a result, Angie was let off the hook. | ||

Trivia
- Much like Lt. Surge and Raymond, Lickilicky's Trainer uses several English phrases, such as "Oh my God" and "Thank you very much" in the Japanese version. In the English dub, he speaks in an Italian accent, even mentioning Italian phrases.
