Toshinao Aoki was an illustrator for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. His first card, Surfing Pikachu, was released for the Japan Railways Group Train Rally in August of 1997, and his final cards were part of the EX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion in April seven years later. Even though he is no longer an illustrator, his artwork is still being used. In the Rising Rivals and Beat of the Frontier expansions, a few of his illustrations were featured on the Retro cards from those sets. In addition to Pokémon cards, his artwork was featured in the fourth Pokémon storybook, Pikachu's Day. In total, he illustrated 56 cards for the trading card game.
