Torment (Japanese: いちゃもん Falsely Accuse) is a non-damaging Dark-type move introduced in Generation III. It has been TM41 since Generation III.
Effect
Torment prevents the target from using the same move twice in a row, starting from the second turn after its use. If the target is using a Choice item, only knows one move, or if the target is under an Encore, the target will be forced to use Struggle every second round. Struggle is not affected by Torment; a Pokémon under Torment can use Struggle many times in a row if that Pokémon ran out of moves to use. Moves such as Rollout will still be fully executed under the effects of Torment.
Generation V
Torment now already works at the same turn and can now be reflected with Magic Coat.
