Togekiss (Japanese: トゲキッス Togekiss) is a dual-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. Prior to Generation VI, it was a dual-type Pokémon.

Biology
Physiology
Togekiss is a white, avian Pokémon with an ovoid body. While its feet are small and situated closely together, its wings are broad and triangular. Red and blue triangular markings over its underside, and it has a short tail consisting of three feathers. On the back of its head are three spikes: a red-tipped one on the right, a blue-tipped one on the left, and a pure white one in the middle. Togekiss has a relatively flat face and small, black eyes.
Togekiss is a vaguely avian Pokémon with an egg-shaped body. It is covered in white, downy feathers and has broad, triangle-shaped wings that allow it to soar effortlessly. Interestingly, Togekiss lacks the stubby arms that its pre-evolutions had. Its underbelly is dotted with the small red and blue triangular spots that are the signature of the Togepi evolution family. Togekiss has very small feet which are set close together, making them somewhat awkward for moving about on the ground. The former spikes on its head have grown into a three-pointed crest. The middle point is white all the way to the tip, but the left and right spikes are tipped in blue and red respectively.

Gender differences
Togekiss have long been known worldwide as bringers of blessings, being depicted on good-luck charms since ancient times. It is said that Togekiss brings good luck simply by virtue of its existence. However, they only appear in peaceful places and have never been witnessed anywhere near conflict or turmoil, making their recent sightings exceptionally rare. It shares many kind gifts and sweet blessings when it visits peaceful places or sees people who avoid strife and respect the rights of others.
None.

Special abilities
Evolution
Togekiss learns a wide range of elemental attacks, as well as various aerial and wind-based moves. Most notably, it is able to wield Aura Sphere, along with Lucario, Mienfoo and its Mienshao, the only non-legendary Pokémon that are able to learn it.
Togekiss evolves from Togetic and is the final form of Togepi.

Behavior
(For specifics on this Pokémon's evolution in the games, refer to Game data→Evolution data.)
Togekiss are generally friendly and caring Pokémon. They tend to avoid conflict, supposedly never appearing where strife is occurring. They are also said to share blessings with those who love another. However, Togekiss are also powerful fighters capable of using a wide variety of attacks. They will protect their young, Togepi, with miraculous care. These Pokémon soar gracefully through the air, often performing tricks and aerial maneuvers.

Togekiss are so vastly rare that many Trainers do not bother trying to find one. Instead, most Trainers prefer evolving their Togetic into a Togekiss with a Shiny Stone.

Trivia
Trivia
* Togekiss and its pre-evolution, Togetic, along with Yanma, Yanmega, Giratina and Smeargle (by Sketch), are the only Pokémon that can learn all three variations of AncientPower.
* Togekiss and its pre-evolved form are the only Pokémon that are in the Flying and Fairy Egg Groups. They are also the only Fairy Pokémon in the Flying egg group.
*Togekiss learns the most moves that never miss regardless of the user's accuracy or the foe's evasiveness: Aura Sphere, Shock Wave, Swift, Aerial Ace, and Magical Leaf.
* Togekiss is the only Pokémon that has a gender ratio of 7:1 that have had a female shown in the anime but not a male.
* Togekiss's weight is equal to that of Lucas, as well as four other Pokémon; Sudowoodo, Skuntank, Fearow, and Yanma. Togekiss is also the same height as Ethan.
* In Pokkén Tournament, Togekiss is the only Support Pokémon with a charge time of "Normal".
* Togekiss has the highest Special Attack of all non-legendary Flying Pokémon.
* Togekiss can learn Drain Punch and Focus Punch despite not having any visible hands. However, it did have hands before evolving.
* As of Generation V, no other Pokémon have same dual Egg Group as Togekiss and its Togetic. In this case, both in Flying and Fairy are unique.
* Togekiss is the only Pokémon to have evolved by using an evolutionary stone that doesn't share any level-up moves with its pre-evolution.
* Togekiss and its pre-evolution are the only Normal/Flying Pokémon capable of learning an Electric move.
* Togekiss is the only Pokémon that have a gender ratio of 7:1 that have had a female shown in the anime but not a male.
* Togekiss is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 545.

Origin
Origin
Togekiss's design appears to draw inspiration from fairies and birds. Its association with peace and joy, as well as its white coloration, suggests inspiration from doves, but its soaring flight and some physical aspects are similar to those of large birds of prey. Togekiss may have also been designed to resemble a Flying wing.
Togekiss appears to be based on fairies and birds. Its white color and association with peace suggest inspiration from Doves as symbols, while its triangular belly markings are similar to a snowy owl. Its reputation for sharing blessings is reminiscent of angels. Like its pre-evolutions, its round body resembles an bird egg. Its rigid, triangular wings are also reminiscent of a flying wing.

Togekiss (Japanese: トゲキッス Togekiss) is a dual-type Fairy/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. Prior to Generation VI, it was a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon.

It evolves from Togetic when exposed to a Shiny Stone. It is the final form of Togepi.

Biology

Togekiss is a white, avian Pokémon with an ovoid body. While its feet are small and situated closely together, its wings are broad and triangular. Red and blue triangular markings over its underside, and it has a short tail consisting of three feathers. On the back of its head are three spikes: a red-tipped one on the right, a blue-tipped one on the left, and a pure white one in the middle. Togekiss has a relatively flat face and small, black eyes.

Evolution

Togekiss evolves from Togetic and is the final form of Togepi.

(For specifics on this Pokémon's evolution in the games, refer to Game data→Evolution data.)

Major appearances

Dawn's Togekiss

A female Togekiss made its main series debut in Dawn of a Royal Day!, originally under the ownership of Princess Salvia. Salvia wanted to enter a Pokémon Contest but could not due to her royal obligations. Therefore, she swapped places with Dawn for a day and entered the Arrowroot Contest with Togekiss. After winning, she gave Togekiss to Dawn as a gift as she felt the Jubilee Pokémon would be better off with a traveling Coordinator.

Other

In Bewitch, Battle, and Bewilder!, Cynthia used her Togekiss in her Masters Eight Tournament match against Ash, where it battled against Pikachu before being recalled. In Valor: A Strategic Part of Battling!, it was used to battle against Lucario and was Dynamaxed, only to wound up getting defeated in the next episode.

Minor appearances

Togekiss debuted in the opening sequence of Giratina and the Sky Warrior.

Trivia

Origin

Togekiss appears to be based on fairies and birds. Its white color and association with peace suggest inspiration from doves, while its triangular belly markings are similar to a snowy owl. Its reputation for sharing blessings is reminiscent of angels. Like its pre-evolutions, its round body resembles an egg. Its rigid, triangular wings are also reminiscent of a flying wing.

Name origin

Togekiss may be a combination of 刺 toge (spike) and kiss, referencing its kind nature.
