Release information

This card was included in the Paldea Evolved expansion with artwork by Kouki Saitou, first released in the Japanese Triplet Beat subset. Starting June 23, 2023, a version of this card featuring a red GameStop logo was given away with Pokémon TCG purchases worth at least $15 at participating GameStop stores in the United States and Canada.[1] The official Pokémon website and the Pokémon Support website stated that the card would also be distributed at Best Buy stores; however, the promotion did not appear to be fulfilled. The Pokémon Support website similarly listed EB Games as a host store for residents of Australia—this promotion did not appear to be fulfilled either.[2] A version with a "Paldea Evolved" stamp was first available in Switzerland from September 7, 2023. Customers at Card Maniac would receive a copy of this variant or a promotional variant of Umbreon with any Pokémon TCG purchase worth at least CHF 20.[3] This variant was also made available in Germany from around October 18, 2023 and was given away with Pokémon TCG purchases worth at least €20 from participating idee+spiel stores.[4] Altough accompanying literature used the incorrect artwork for this variant, it suggested this promotion should have started at around the same time as the equivalent giveaways in the United States and Canada, with the promotion end date stated as August 10, 2023.

An SVP Black Star Promotional print of this card was one of the Prerelease promos for Paldea Evolved with new artwork by Anesaki Dynamic, available in the Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Box. A print with a gold foil "Staff" stamp was given to those overseeing Prerelease Tournaments. A Non Holofoil version of the Paldea Evolved print was also included in the Paldea Evolved Build & Battle Box. A Cosmos Holofoil version of the Paldea Evolved print was included in the Paradox Rift Premium Checklane Blisters, released on November 3, 2023. The SVP Black Star Promotional print was released in Japan, alongside a new Secret print with artwork by Kagemaru Himeno featuring the Shiny version of Tinkaton, in the Shiny Treasure ex subset. The Secret print was then included in the Paldean Fates expansion.
