The title of this article is incorrect because of technical limitations. The correct title is The Official Pokémon Handbook #2.

The Official Pokémon Handbook #2 by Maria S. Barbo is a handbook that was published in 2001. It is one of the sequels to the The Official Pokémon Handbook. It reveals 33 Pokémon in the Johto Pokédex.

Entries

Every Pokémon with an entry has a page to itself.

Name

Each entry is topped with a large, odd-shaped box. It has the Pokémon's name and Pokédex number, underneath is its species (e.g. Aqua Mouse Pokémon for Marill). On the side of the page is a section that has many facts about the Pokémon itself.

Stats

On the side of the pages, the entries list the following stats:

  1. Name pronunciation
  2. Type
  3. Height (in inches and feet)
  4. Weight (in pounds)
  5. Techniques (the basic and most commonly used moves of that Pokémon)
  6. Evolution (either "_____ evolves into _____" or "_____ Does Not Evolve")

Techniques and other techniques are not listed with the levels at which they are learned, and not all the moves the Pokémon can learn appear.

Image and other information

Each Pokémon has a picture on its page and some pages also feature a "Pokédex Pick," with extra facts about the Pokémon that will cross over in the anime or sometimes have helpful information.

Evolution Chain

At the very bottom of the entry there are pictures with arrows between them to show what the Pokémon evolves into. Pokémon that do not evolve do not have an evolution chain.

Other Content

Besides the entries on each Pokémon, the book includes A word from Professor Oak, it is about the handbook in general. It mentions what is new in Generation II. There are also Johto and Indigo League comparisons that compare Badges, amount needed etc. There are also a couple of pages in it to read up about Pokémon types, that show the types of all Generation I and the 33 II Pokémon. At the end of the book, it has pictures and scenes from the Pokémon anime, Pokémon Quick Picks and a sneak peek at the next Pokémon Handbook. The last two pages have a Pokémon checklist.
