Why, everyone...? Why? --ニョロトノ666 01:33, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, Poli. But people don't really pay attention to this one... パチリスの恋人12 01:34, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
If you're asking why you're the only user supporting the current version, it's because a lot of users like Kogoro's. Chocolate((Talk to Me|Look at My Contributions)) 01:35, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Here's the thing; it's not the welcome template. The welcome template is fine. It's just that the users don't read it. Nothing's gonna change that, unfortunately. Except adding porno. That might get a n00b's attention. --ニョロトノ666 01:46, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
I disagree. I know I keep mentioning this, but the welcomes I get at other wikis are much smaller and easier to read than ours, and I read those. That's why I made my proposed template, to shorten things up and make it more digestible. --Martonimos 04:09, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
I read it when I joined :p Anyway, I think a simple bulleted list is so much easier on the eyes. LordArceus 00:45, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
But does it have to be a list this long? --((Marton imos)) 02:01, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

This is just so the bestestest! It's visually nice and has it all in a small package. Martonimos's is good, but it looks somehow boring. MAGNEDETH's is just plain rude and IMO should not be used. Though the problem is, does everyone like to have such box in the top of his/her talk page? That needs to be worked out, for example a possibility of hiding it somehow after reading could be useful... UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:06, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

It's the best apart from the fact it tells me nothing. Glinn Mgraw 04:26, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
It needs a link to the talk page policy which says no deletion; a lot of new users get blasted for removal of the Welcome and other warnings. — THE TROM — 09:17, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Just want to add here, I have created a version that also gives a small blurb of info with the links, please check it out at the same page as the original! - Kogoro | Talk to me - 09:48, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
In addition, there is a link to the talk page policy, please check under the Miscellaneous heading. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 13:06, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Its the best of the lot. I just want to tell Kogoro that I like the original version better. The links pretty much explain while the articles are all about, so there is no need for adding other things.--Diby 13:21, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
This is just perfect. Nice and colorful and very helpful. It's the good way to start there bulbapedian career.--Clarky13 05:17, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Perfect? No such thing. A bunch of links would just make a new user's eyes glaze over. Sure, it looks nice, but it doesn't really seem all that...practical (the word I'm actually looking for escapes me right now, so practical will have to do). Glinn Mgraw 07:36, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
He's right. I mean, come on. Just because its visually attractive doesn't make it all that useful. It really has a lot of links in it which I don't think a new user would feel like going through all of them. Jmath 14:04, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Good point. That does look intimidating for a new user. Gywall(Talk) 14:07, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

I like this template for the sole reason it tells most of the things a new user needs to know and it's a much shorter version of the current template. The only thing lacking in Kogoro's is that people may not go through all the links in the template. They might check a few of them but that's probably as far as they will go. I doubt we'd get any respect if a welcome page would make the visitor feel like crap. --Jonouchi 21:46, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

i know! what was i thinking!?!? -- MAGNEDETH 21:52, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
HAHA awsome man that one is way to cool ha I hope this winsRucario64 20:41, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I seriously think that this is a good idea. After all, we've been lenient with most new users so far and they've been abusing the userspace. Getting a little rough might be our answer. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 10:35, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

I don't know why you people think this is truly a good welcome page. A welcome page is supposed to make the new user feel, oh I don't know, WELCOME?!?!?! This pretty much does the exact opposite. It's unprofessional compared to what we have on Bulbapedia and will pretty much TURN DOWN members instead of bringing them in. Let's be honest, who wants to join a place where the welcome message tells them "you suck" and insults them at any given moment. I sure as hell wouldn't. >_> --Jonouchi 13:21, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, because a big blob of green with lots of blue links and bolded text makes them feel really welcome? Glinn Mgraw 14:07, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Does insulting a member make anyone feel welcome? If you can't answer that, you have no right to insult me like that. >_> --Jonouchi 14:26, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
regardless if its nice or not, i guarantee new users would read it. -- MAGNEDETH 22:23, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
We cant. Your a genius. Moving on, I gurantee the users would get a giggle out of it.DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))
idk, i think we should link it onto peoples pages that clearly dont read the welcome. let them know just how wrong they are. -- MAGNEDETH 00:43, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Um.

What about the old welcome template? I like that one best... No, really. --ニョロトノ666 04:20, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Theres a spot before Kogoros that shows it.--RexRacer -talk 04:21, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Ah. Thanks. --ニョロトノ666 04:22, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Idea

It may sound like a retarded on but why don't test thses welcomes on 4 new users and keep an eye on them like guniea pigs (rats) or whatever.--Coolピカチュウ! 02:11, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Murphy's Law. We test MAGNEDETH's on one guy, and that guy runs off, never to return. When we travel to the future, we discover that if we didn't put MAGNEDETH's there, that guy wouldn't have become Ph34r and vandalised the shit out of Bulbapedia, thus leading Kuki into suicide, other obsessed users into drugs, and the rest of us into complete boredom. Bored to death, TTE travels to our current time and votes for MAGNEDETH's in a hope to get people to say "HEY, DON'T VOTE ON THIS". Unfortunately, this was what caused CoolPikachu to post this idea and thus sending the first guy I mentioned into a trail down Ph34r lane, causing a user called Optimatum to predict all this shit. This causes a time paradox, leading the world to ASPLODE. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 04:33, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
That was retarded and that's what I said about my idea -.-.--Coolピカチュウ! 04:37, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
GASP! The PARADOX'S! But if we use the Regular Warning, it could allow the users to think we are weak minded, leading another user down the Ph34r Path, thinking he can achieve total control over the world., at which point we shall send a certain user to the past to destroy the welcome template, but he fails utterly and gets caught in a web of lies and mistakes, causing him to lie dormant in the DCM until the Renegade Usersbecome admins to fill up their brains with plots of sockpuppeting and turning them against each other, eventually allowing the creator To became an admin, at which point he takes away their admin rights, and roll all the edits back to the edits we have now, and all the users will return, bearing gifts of Gold, Frankensence and Cookies. SO which future do you anticipate happening? DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))

WILL U STOP THINKING THAT I POSED AS ANY USER ON HERE!!!!????????????--KukiTalk 00:44, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Uhh...--Coolピカチュウ! 00:51, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Nope. And to get a full result, you would need to find four users identical in Past Experiences, Attitudes, and Backgrounds. They could be a shy person and get magnedeth's welcome and leave, or they could be a..........loud user whom would recieve his welcome and explode at the welcomer. So it will never work. Unless I create four more accounts.....DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))
Okay, we will stop thinking it and start believing it. Because guess what. You have more than once. We all know that you had a sockpuppet called Blisselebi and I would like to bring everyone's attention to a certain edit that sockpuppet made: [1]. Hmm... you blatently impersonated another user. Saying "I'm Jmath!"...can't really look for a deeper meaning there. You were impersonating him in order to get him in trouble. And then you did it again through e-mails, but I won't bring that up here. Just to say, quit trying to fool anyone; we aren't idiots, we know what you did, we know that you lie every time you deny someone saying that you impersonate users, and that tag on your Userpage is a complete lie. Shall I go on? or do you get the point? One last thing... God damns all liars! MaverickNate 02:19, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Burned. -- MAGNEDETH 02:22, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Woof. Someone is Pissed. I concur with you *bans self*. Go away if youve impersonated other users, we dont want to give out a welcome tag to the same user againDCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))
Wow some people have grudges against another and hidden watevers..--Coolピカチュウ! 02:29, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
