Please note: THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH MULTIFORMS, EEVEE, TYROGUE, OR BURMY YET. Please do not touch them. The others, go for it. TTEchidna 17:16, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Problem

The evolutionary items are redirects... ht14 02:22, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

And you linked to Beauty for Feebas/Milotic instead of the contest (somewhat important).--MisterE13 20:28, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Max beauty vs high beauty

See this, which would require this template to be edited. Myles (talk - contrib) 01:43, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Complicated stuff

Although the coding for most of these will be murder but I, for one, am willing to help with some of the simpler stuff at least. Here are some of my ideas for the complicated evoboxes and could serve as a checklist:

Branchers

  • Eevee (7 evolutions; 3 stones, 2 hapinness/time, 2 location/levels)
  • Tyrogue (baby, 3 evolutions; all dependant on stats)

Formes

  • Pichu (IMHO, add a second non-categorizing evobox beneath its real one with only Notchie, no trigger image though)
  • Unown (28 rotating formes, I can work on this one, no trigger images?)
  • Spinda (ah ha ha!!!!!!)
  • Castform (4 formes; maybe in a square?, triggers: Heat Rock/TM Fire, Damp Rock/TM Water, Icy Rock/TM Ice?)
  • Deoxys (4 formes; maybe in a square?, triggers: Ruby/Red Orb III/Red Orb/Ds ruby.png + Sapphire/Blue Orb III/Blue Orb/Ds sapphire.png, Fire/Ds firered.png, Grass/Ds leafgreen.png, and Jade Orb/Ds emerald.png.
  • Cherrim (2 formes after 1 evo, I can work on this one, trigger:Heat Rock/TM Fire?)
  • Shellos/Gastrodon (2 formes each, neither one can change so we could do this with 2 tables, or maybe Town Map as a trigger.
  • Rotom (6 formes, triggers: the appliances sprites?
  • Giratina (2 formes, triggers: Griseous Orb + Town Map).
  • Shaymin (2 formes, trigger: Gracidea),
  • Arceus 18 rotating formes, I can work on this one, trigger: Plates)

Both

  • Burmy (3 Formes; 2 evos, 1 w/ formes, 1 w/o, perhaps a larger table around which demonstrates that it can change forms with Town Map/HGSS Grass.png, HGSS Cave.png, HGSS Door.png)
  • Wormadam (3 Formes; evolve from 1 forme each, maybe 3 tables, perhaps a larger table around which demonstrates that Burmy can change forms with Town Map/HGSS Grass.png, HGSS Cave.png, HGSS Door.png.)
  • Mothim (evolves from 1 w/ formes that changes with Town Map/HGSS Grass.png, HGSS Cave.png, HGSS Door.png.)

Hope this is clear enough, its getting late here, I'd love to see comments on this.--MisterE13 03:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

The list has been edited to reflect the fact that the seperate evoboxes have all been created but the Formes still lack triggers...--MisterE13 03:15, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

4+ family evolutions

Is there any way to edit this so that 4 family evolutions like for glitches can appear? 1ted59 19:07, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

SnorlaxMonster was working on a separate template for glitches. —darklordtrom 19:35, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
SnorlaxMonster/GlitchEvobox That's it there, but I'm simply not skilled enough to do four stages. Right now I'm trying to fix up the glitch images on the archives, but I will try to do it without breaking it after that. If you can do template coding well, that would be a help. --SnorlaxMonster. Edit request

This should link to, say, Evolutionary stone#Moon Stone rather than just Moon Stone. CuboneKing (Planet CuboneBone Club) 18:37, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

There's nothing wrong with the redirect. Doing otherwise is complicated given the nature of this template. —darklordtrom 22:59, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

4 stage?

I remember another user wanted to make a 4-stage box for 44Hy. It goes to Q at 6...BUT! It can evolve, at lv. 239, to Glitch (CA), who evolves to Q, who evolves to ゥゥ♂. ALL at level 239. And acknowledge that someone else has brought this situation up...Db 23:53, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Pretty sure this template can support that. Always use the glitch evobox for glitches, not the normal one. ▫▪Ťïňắ 23:57, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

May I make a request?

In place of "Does not evolve", the description should say "This Pokémon is not known to evolve". Thanks.
~~LDEJRuff~~(Happy Halloween) October 31, 2010, 18:59 (EDT)

Well I could do that but it would make it too long, and it isn't really necessary. If the Pokémon is then found to evolve, we add the evolution. It does not currently evolve, so that is still correct. --SnorlaxMonster 23:08, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Sprite Links

I think the sprites should link to the Pokémons' pages rather than to the file. Would that be too much work? Malake256 21:04, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Mega Evolution

I think this should be updated to work with Mega Evolution at some point. TorchicBlaziken (talkedits) 21:37, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

I know this topic is already a little bit old, but I think it is worth of being more discussed. Mega evolution, although not actually a kind of evolution, is a methode for changing the forms of some pokémon, and that's something that is also shown on this template, so we should really consider adding the mega evolutions. Could someone make this upgrade? Suic12- (talk) 17:05, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Request

Because it is protected, it needs to have artwork instead of artwork. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:43, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Problem with the breed only evolution box

Because for the sea guardians, it has the category "Pokémon that are part of a two-stage evolutionary line", could some fix this because they don't evolve? --Cinday123 (Talk) 03:14, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

Branch evolutions

I noticed on pages for Pokemon like Gallade that are on one branch of a branch evolution, the Evolution section doesn't show the other branch (in this example, Gardevoir). I believe this should be changed, and that Pokemon on one branch should show the other branch in their Evolution template— the other branch is already mentioned in the introduction to the article, and I believe it would be very useful information to include, especially since the introductions don't mention the evolution method for the other branch. --celadonk (talk) 12:21, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
