Suggestion?

I've got a small suggestion? While looking through the Bulbapedia Archives, I've noticed a lot of pictures of attacks are unused. So, do you think that maybe someone could add something that makes it so on a character's Pokemon's page, where it shows the Pokemon using an attack, every time someone refreshes or enters the page, it shows a different picture of the Pokemon using an attack? For example, on Misty's Starmie, when you enter the page, it shows it using Water Gun, and when you refresh the page, it shows it using Tackle. Could that work? Thats a great idea, or at least it was when somone came up with it years ago, tehe, we already do that :) Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 22:56, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Currently the switcher must be hard coded on the page. See Misty's Staryu or Ash's Pikachu for example (you may need to refresh the cache). If you desperately want it to be built into the template I could give it a go, but I'm not sure how well that would work. Werdnae (talk) 23:08, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Not all pages have it, and that's what I was suggesting. ^^ And Werdnae, if you want to try it, it's all up to you. You don't have to do it if you don't want to. :D If you don't want to, I'll probably copy Misty's Staryu's list and try to figure it out for myself on the others. I'll just leave the template. But yes, all Pokémon should have it set to display as many images as possible. For the image filename put "{{#switch: {{#expr: {{#time: U}} mod (no. of images)}}|0=Filename 1.png|1=Filename 2.png|. . .|(no of images - 1)=Filename n.png}}" and for the move name parameter put "Using {{#switch: {{#expr: {{#time: U}} mod (no. of images)}}|0=Move 1|1=Move 2|. . .|(no of images - 1)=Move n}}" Personally I just set it to have one number for each image, but some of the existing ones have one image being more likely than others. Alright, thanks! That helps a lot. I'll go through the pages, and add what I add. Thanks a lot, Werdnae! ^^ Littlmiget123 00:16, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Level learned at?

I had read the page for Ash's Pikachu (to try to figure if Volt Tackle was officially forgotten as of BW020), and figured that it could be an interesting idea to add a column for what level the Pokémon would learn the move in the games. Interesting as in to try to gauge what level the Pokémon could be at (which is in itself interesting for Ash's Pikachu, going through 5 regions, partly in a sixth, and only being at level 18). --TruePikachu 21:37, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Anime =/= Games. There's not really a level system in the anime. Pokemon learn moves at complete random half the time. So no, I don't think we need a level gauge. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 21:43, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Recent moves

I think that, rather than have people trying to take a random guess what episode a recent move was used in, or whether it is even a recent move at all, the episode a move was last used in should be added. Like on Misty's Staryu's page, apparently Water Gun and BubbleBeam are recent moves, despite the fact that Staryu has not appeared in the anime for years. I know the template isnt protected, but I feel that people should agree on this first. Plus the footer states that a † shows that the move was used recently, unless all moves fit this case, but for some Pokemon, like Misty's Psyduck, it doesnt appear to be the case.

Here's Pikachu as an example. I'd suggest just putting all the recent moves (assuming they are actually recent) of a current Pokemon (like Pikachu or Tepig) as Best Wishes series and Current move, to avoid constant updates, since some Pokemon, like Pikachu, use a move (Thunderbolt) in almost every appearance.

An × shows that the move cannot be legitimately known by this Pokémon in the games.
A shows that the move was used recently, unless all moves fit this case or there are fewer than five known moves.
