(Japanese:しお Tide) is a character of the day who appeared in BW125.

Tide participated in the Marine Cup Tournament and was Iris's first opponent who he defeated. He managed to get to the top but was defeated by Ash who went on to win the tournament. Later, he helps investigates the theft of the Eye of Liepard until a Purrloin goes to his face, which revealed Tide to be the thief of the Eye of Liepard. He was about to attack Ash and the group with his Vanillite until Current arrives and has Growlithe blast Vanillite away.

Vanillite is Tide's main Pokémon. He used it in the Marine Cup Tournament where it defeated various opponents including Iris's Axew due to the type-advantage. Later, it was revealed to have created a key made of ice in order to break open the briefcase containing the Eye of Liepard.

Vanillite's known moves are Ice Beam and Blizzard.

Galvantula was sent out during Tide's battle against Ash. It went up against Ash's Pikachu and was defeated after a clash of Thunderbolts.
