Release information

This card was released as a promotional card. In Japan, it came with the Meowth's Party CD. The English version of the card was available through the Pokémon League in August 2000.

Trivia

  • The Japanese version of this card features the Pikachu Records logo in place of an Expansion symbol.

Origin

  • This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Yellow, though it is slightly reworded.
  • This card is probably based on Meowth of Team Rocket, partner to both Jessie and James. The attack possibly references the fact that no matter how badly they are beaten in each episode, they're always right back in the next one.
  • Fittingly, the illustrator is the executive director of the Pokémon anime.
