Tar Shot (Japanese: タールショット Tar Shot) is a non-damaging Rock-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of Coalossal.

Effect

Tar Shot lowers the target's Speed stat by one stage and doubles the effectiveness of Fire-type moves used on the target. Tar Shot will not double the effectiveness of Fire-type moves used on a target that is already under the effect of Tar Shot (but may still lower its Speed). The increased vulnerability to Fire-type attacks does not affect a Pokémon that is Terastallized, however if a Pokémon already affected by the increased vulnerability Terastallizes, the effect will remain.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Tar Shot cannot be selected in a battle.
