How often was Brock's Zubat seen outside in the daylight? Because if it was several episodes, then despite Pokédex entries stating that prolonged exposure will make Zubat unhealthy, Brock's Zubat showed no signs of illness. This would actually be better off on the talk page for Brock's Zubat since it should be in that article but whatever.[[User:In A Manica|In A Manica]] 16:39, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Black Zubat

This is based on personal experiments. A Zubat that is caught in the Cave of Origin in Pokemon Sapphire or Ruby that is exactly 2'7" tall and weighs 17 pounds will be black. It counts as shiny, appearing with the sparkle effect. When transferred to a 4th gen game, it turns green like a normal shiny. I don't know if it retains its black coloration in FireRed, LeafGreen, or Emerald, but it cannot be caught in these games, as the cave of origin is inaccessible.--Zeebiedeebie 18:19, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

That... sounds ridiculous. No offense to you, but a claim that outlandish is gonna need some pictorial evidence. --AndyPKMN 19:37, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
I can't comment on the stringent specifications that other user provided, but I found a suspiciously dark-colored zubat ( http://imgur.com/9vBA7YV ) in the Altering Cave in Fire Red.--Foundablackzubat (talk) 07:18, 22 February 2015 (UTC)

Someone needs to change this...

I have a Zubat in Pokémon Dimond Version that I caught at lv. 6 and it didn't learn astonish until lv. 9. It still doesn't know bite. I think someone needs to edit the Gen. IV learnset. Dolphins_are_awesome! 21:41, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

OK, you know what? I'll test this myself tomorrow to clear up any disagreements, unless someone else does it first--The Kkllnnator blastoise 21:51, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
If you look back in revisions, there is a mistake done by Chungkingpun. Oddly enough, this data matches Golbat's level up table. Gywall(Talk) 21:52, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

OMG!!!

Zubat doesn't start with bite!!!! Somebody fix this!!! Dolphins_are_awesome! 00:52, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Eyes?

When I first saw Zubat, I thought its ears were eyes. Is this a common thing to mistake ears for eyes?

First with a unique type combination

From trivia:

"If Nidoqueen and Nidoking are not counted, then Zubat is the first Pokemon in National Pokedex order with a unique type combination"

Why would Nidoqueen and Nidoking not be counted? Should that be changed? Flyingtypefan 17:10, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Oh...I wasn't thinking of it that way. Oops. Flyingtypefan 18:25, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

possible trivia?

Perched Zubat

From Trivia: "Zubat doesn't have legs and is always shown flying in the air. It is not clear how it rests on the ground."

However, it is shown in a clip of Pikachu's Adventure, Brock's Zubat was perched on Brock's Onix with his wings wrapped around his body and the two legs/tails splayed behind him. --Mya 01:08, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Someone please explain me this

I was looking for new stuff on the web when I found this: Pokégusta. Ok, I know it is not in English, but just by the image you can understand, but for it scroll down until you see the Zubat; now look for the Squirtle; now can someone explain HOW IS ZUBAT HOLDING SQUIRTLE!?. Thanks. - unsigned comment from Victin (talkcontribs)

I can't see any squirtleGK 17:50, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Asaoj002.310

Some additional info

We're lacking a Gender Differences section; I assume there are gender differences and that's why towards the bottom of the page it shows two normal Zubat and then two Shiny Zubat for each game.

Also, is it worth mentioning anywhere that Zubat are often more difficult to escape from than other Pokémon? Tia-Lewise 20:43, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

1) The gender differences are now in the Biology section. 2) The chance of escaping depends on the opposing Pokémon's Speed, so it's natural that it's more difficult to escape from Zubat than from a slower Pokémon like Geodude.--Den Zen 21:02, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Legs

From the biology section: "It has [...] two long, thin, tails." Why does the article refer to these as tails? First of all, real bat tails have webbing that connects to the webbing of their wings, and even then they have only one. Reality aside, Zubat has been shown not only to hang from these, but also to land and carry with them. To me, it's pretty clear that these are in fact legs. BlameTheMedia (talk) 19:30, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

The comparison to real bats is irrelevant, as Zubat is not a real bat. That aside, whenever I've seen a Zubat perch, it does so with the appendages in question hanging loosely off the side of whatever its perching on. This indicates that they are not legs. I'd be willing to change the wording to "appendages", though as there may be evidence both ways. Crystal Talian 20:38, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
