I've noticed that in Ruby, the end-of-turn damage stops once the user is knocked out (if knocked out on the turn the move is used, the damage doesn't occur at all). This is mentioned nowhere in the article, making it seem independent of the user. Is this how it's always worked and in every generation? How true is what the trivia section says about Whirlpool existing in Generation I? And why the article doesn't contain its Generation I effect if it's true? --Johans 02:23, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Golduck with Whirlpool in Gen III?
This is kind of an ironic issue, since it says Golduck can't learn Whirlpool in Generation III, yet it shows a picture of one using said move anyway (remember, Generation II Pokemon can't be imported to Generation III). Is the movelist correct or can Golduck really learn Whirlpool in Gen III? Should we change it? RedLuigi 16:53, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
EDIT: I just noticed it says Waterfall instead of Whirlpool. I think this was just a simple mistake someone made and it should be changed. RedLuigi 17:01, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Whirlpool residual damage bug?
Hello, this is my first post, so I don't know if this belongs here or on another page. I've noticed that in BW2, when whirlpool is used, the residual damage scene is always displayed even if battle scene is set to off. Is this not worthy of mention? I haven't tested it with similar moves or other games, though.Adronnis (talk) 02:39, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
