Hello, i noticed something: in Gen III's games, which is when abilities first debuted, and when each mon could only have 1 possible ability (which is apparently the first one written on the board), it seems only Wailord and Wailmer could possess Water Veil; Seaking and Goldeen could only acquire it from Gen IV onwards as a second ability. Should we say that in Gen III, this ability was a signature one for the polystyrene whale family? [[User:Imadmagician|Imadmagician]] ([[User talk:Imadmagician|talk]]) 21:30, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

:That's very false. Variations

The section at the bottom of the page "Variations of the ability Water Veil" is lacking immunity and oblivious. It could also be argued that Inner Focus should be included, because flinching is listed as a status ailment. Delspencerdeltorro 08:42, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

I've added Immunity. I'm not sure about Oblivious, Inner Focus and Own Tempo. I'm inclined to think that there are two groups. Those that prevent non-volatile status ailments and those that prevent volatile status ailments (Own Tempo, Oblivious, Inner Focus). Werdnae (talk) 08:55, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Sorry guys I didn't put immunity because I tried but it just wouldn't go into the template. So I had a little problem.--KayKay|Chat to me! 11:00, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Trivia

No Pokémon from Generation V can have this ability. (Divdax 21:54, 17 February 2011 (UTC))

Previously a Signature ability?

Hello, i noticed something: in Gen III's games, which is when abilities first debuted, and when each mon could only have 1 possible ability (which is apparently the first one written on the board), it seems only Wailord and Wailmer could possess Water Veil; Seaking and Goldeen could only acquire it from Gen IV onwards as a second ability. Should we say that in Gen III, this ability was a signature one for the polystyrene whale family? Imadmagician (talk) 21:30, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

That's very false. Many Pokémon, including Goldeen and Seaking, had two Abilities in Generation III.--Den Zen 21:37, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
