Gender

Do we know for sure it's a she? I don't remember that... Cause that's what the article says... --ElectAbuzzzz 16:58, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Marill is a mother. --FabuVinny T-C-S 16:59, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
No, we can't 100% confirm whether Tracey's Marill is male or female. For all we know, the other parent could be a Marill or Azumarill caught by some unnammed random Pallet Town trainer. Honestly, I've personally always pegged Tracey's Marill as being male...Shiningpikablu252 18:32, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
My thoughts exactly. We don't know who the other parent is. Was it ever specifically said that it's female? --ElectAbuzzzz 18:36, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
No, the gender of Tracy's Marill has never been mentioned. And because most of the circumstances of the egg are a complete mystery, people shouldn't have jumped to conclusions about the gender just because of the egg.Shiningpikablu252 18:39, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

well duh since it produced the egg of course it's female User:ShinyMedicham

It says Marill produced the egg. In order to produce an egg you need a mother and a father. There's no evidence that Marill was the one that layed the egg. --ケンジガール 21:38, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Maril or Marill

Why did they dub it in Japanese it sounds like it says Marill Livinlarge18 23:37, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

That's kinda its name, isn't it? The Dark Fiddler - Nos hablamos? 23:38, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Lyra's Marill

I think we should put in something about how similar it is to Lyra's Marill in the sense that they are both Marill and both only know one move, water gun. ----Zewis29 (Talk, Contribs) 16:11, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Why exactly is that notable? Marill learns Water Gun. It's not that big a deal. --ケンジガール 22:33, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh. It's just they both only know one move. AND it's the smae one. ----Zewis (29) 04:54, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
I still say not notable enough. If they knew three moves that were the same, then you'd have something. --ケンジガール 06:08, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Trivia

Uh, it says that Marill is the only non bug-type that Tracy has, but apparently he has a Dodrio. --"FiMbUlWiNtEr2O|2" 20:50, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

It's for on hand Pokémon. Dodrio's status is unknown. --ケンジガール 20:53, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Breeding

I don't think Tracey's Marill could have produced an egg by itself. If it bred with one of Ash's Pokémon, he would have known. It was produced before Misty arrived, so it couldn't have been one of Misty's Pokémon. And what's more, Tracey hardly knows anything about breeding. I don't understand. - unsigned comment from Satoshi101 (talkcontribs)

You do realize there are more Pokémon at Oak's lab than just Ash's, right? Of course it didn't produce an egg by itself. No one ever said it made it by itself, only that it did make an egg. Nowhere does it say it did it alone, we just don't know who the other parent was. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 20:17, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Fairy Type

Since marill is duel-type water and fairy now shouldn't we change the page.--Ovidkid (talk) 21:38, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Nope, since it was only single-type Water during its appearance in the anime. We do the same thing with, for instance, Ethan's Magnemite and Magneton, which appeared in the Orange Islands season (before they were Electric/Steel), and have pure-Electric-colored infoboxes.
