Okay, getting the shapes of the items is pretty easy... getting the rarities, not so much, since it's easier to find some items than others and so we can only give a really rough estimate about how rare they are relatively. Anyone have suggestions? --Pie ~ 21:16, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Pie, I found an Odd Keystone yesterday, its a 2x5 complete, also the Moonstone is a 2x3 in the order Y,N Y,Y N,Y and the Damp Rock is a 4x3 in the order Y,Y,Y,Y Y,Y,Y,Y Y,N,N,Y. Gambler 18:43, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Moonstone and Damp Rock, I had both mined up before starting this... so I wasn't sure of their shapes. Awesome. Thanks. ^^ --Pie ~ 21:41, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes! Found an Old Amber, size 4x4 Y,Y,Y,N Y,Y,Y,Y Y,Y,Y,Y N,Y,Y,Y.Gambler 18:50, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Nice! Hopefully you'll dig up the other fossils soon. :x --Pie ~ 21:41, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Amazing job, whoever put up the shape charts. Czeano

Buried spheres and multiplayer

Last time I checked, you are not able to pick up spheres other people have buried in the underground, or at least those buried prior to connecting. Confirmation on this would be appreciated.

Hey, same here! I own a British Pearl version. Has this got anything to do with it? The picking up others' spheres may have only been on the American and Japanese versions. I can understand why the designers would want to leave the option out - I cultivate and grow my spheres carefully, and the last thing I want is other people digging my hard work up! Anyone on any American versions able to, or British versions unable to? Gazco !!!! my page|Talk

I have the U.S. version, and my friend couldn't get my spheres. also, the radar only finds your own spheres, which only adds to the near-confirmation. Kendai
When I'm underground, I usually find a buried sphere. I know that they aren't mine because I only bury shperes near my Secret Base. By the way, I have the English version of Diamond and Pearl. File:Ani137MS.gifTESHFile:Ani233MS.gifTALKFile:Ani474MS.gifSAND 17:30, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I have a US copy, and I can't dig up others' spheres. Gywall(Talk) 10:52, 12 June 2008 (UTC) --

OMG! In the American Version it can, I have the English version of Diamond and it won't let me pick up stuff, sheesh. -- PokeZoe

Didn't I just say the US/American version can't? Also, tested over a few copies. Gywall(Talk) 20:19, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

I have the European version File:Ani137MS.gifTESHFile:Ani233MS.gifTALKFile:Ani474MS.gifSAND 21:58, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

other players flags - numbers correct??

i've just collected THREE flags from an other player in the underground, and my own flag was upgraded to SILVER. here it states you need to collect FIVE flags before this upgrade happens. can anyone confirm five is correct? does it have something to do with different versions? i'm playing both diamond and pearl, UK version. i did this on both games, THREE flags each ugraded to SILVER. can someone confirm? Geeness 22:06, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, as I'm not restarting my game, I can't check. If three did it instead of five, well, that's likely it. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 05:34, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
I could check that up if my regular DS will work for me. Gywall(Talk) 10:52, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Indeed, it is three flags. Gywall(Talk) 11:14, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Rarer Items

Anybody else notice that the rarer items such as evolutionary stones become much more frequent after beating the Elite 4/getting the National Dex? Maybe it's just me, but if it isn't that may be worth adding. Dexington 16:45, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

It's most likely because of all the new Pokémon avaliable after you get the National Dex. You'd need alot more Evo Stones to complete it. --PsychicRider 16:59, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
I think it gets more frequent. Before beating the Elite Four, I don't even remember digging up any stones! (maybe one). Dialgarules 22:35, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Platinum

Hey ,I heard somewhere that Pokémon Platinum has wi-fi in the underground ,can someone confirm this?---User:Ultamatecharizard

No. That isn't true. MathijsP 12:50, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

rarity

i found rarity information on a japanese pokemon wiki, and formatted it up nicely here: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:Kokuran/Sandbox i'm wary of the accuracy tho, since there are inaccuracies in the page (such as saying there are nuggets underground, and that combined spheres won't grow). is there any way to verify the info at all? Kokuran 04:38, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

On a Japanese wiki, or our buddies, the Japanese Pokémon Wiki? TTEchidna 05:23, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Nope, from here. Linked on the subpage. But it is a wiki, so how do we verify it? Obviously this hasn't been reported widely otherwise we'd already know... wouldn't we? — THE TROM — 05:38, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
it seems mostly accurate from my own experience, (at least the bit about pale/prism spheres and evo stones) but yeah, was just wondering how we can have rarity info for all the pokes and people can grab pics and things from the games, but nobody can verify the rarity of this stuff... well it'll be in my sandbox for a while anyway. Kokuran 05:19, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
I have an official guide that lists the rarity of the items. It doesn't give percentages, though, it ranks them from "high" chance to zero chance. Should I add this to the article? - Celebi96

Platinum 2

What is the difference in underground items between D/P and Platinum? I can never find any Skull Fossils in my Platinum, but I've found six Armor Fossils. Does only one type exist in the game, and if so, do all Platinums have the Armor Fossil? Or does the other unlock after beating the Elite Four or something? -- Bob.com bob 23:43, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Funny. I've found two of the Skull and no Armor. So it's obvious both are available... though maybe it depends on your ID number? TTEchidna 23:48, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
That is funny. I never found any fossils before I beat the E4 because I didn't care enough, but I would expect you to be able to get both. R.A. Hunter B. 00:24, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
It depends on your ID number. I'm not sure what the specifics are, though.--Celebi96 01:25, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
