Question on Swords Dance and Critical Hits

So I have heard from this article that Swords Dance is ignored by critical hits, but any time I have ever critical hitted without it it has done far less damage that when I critical hit with it. Is that just myself leading to believe it is working that way or am I correct and is the article here wrong? XY 17:54, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

The note is for Gen. 1, just so you know. I'm quite sure the attack boost works just fine in the other generations. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:15, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Victreebel's swords dance

In flower power, James tells his Victreebel to use swords dance. But when he tell it to use take down later it looks exactly the same. Should I describe Victreebel's swords dance and put the take down attack down as an anime move error or what?Wikid 17:08, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Variations on a move

For the qualifications of whether or not moves are considered variations of other moves there is a slight discrepancy I have found. Acid Armor, Swords Dance, Amnesia, Acupressure, Tail Glow, Agility, Barrier, and Nasty Plot all raise a single stat by two levels (although in the case of Acupressure it is a random stat and the rest are a fixed stat). Swords Dance, Acupressure, Agility, and Barrier all are considered variations on Acid Armor, Nasty Plot and Tail Glow are both considered variations on Amnesia. The problem is the only difference between Amnesia variations and Acid Armor variations is the standard and max PP (and the stats but that is true for all of them), yet there is a difference in PP between Acid Armor and all of its variations as well. Acid Armor has 40 PP all of its variations have 30 PP and Amnesia and its variants all of 20 PP. If we are going to differentiate based on PP either the Acid Armor variants should no longer be grouped with Acid Armor, or all of the moves that raise a stat by two levels should be grouped together. Sorry if I put this in the wrong spot, it was the acid armor variant talk page with the most posts so I was hoping people would actually see it as most the posts on these pages seem to go unnoticed. ~PazuSalmon

I have exactly the same comment to make, except the actual situation of the groupings are slightly different now, but the arbitrary discrepancies are still present. I think all moves that raise a particular stat by two stages should all be considered variations of each other. If no one objects to this or makes any comment as to why they are grouped the way they currently are, then I am going to make that change. Weixifan 06:21, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

The 999 limitation?

As I know, since Advance, the stats are no longer capped at 999. It seems that there are out-of-date notes in the descriptions of all stat-boosting moves. --Bbbbbbbbba 03:43, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
