Description

A Special attack is one in which the user does not necessarily have to make contact with its opponent in order to deal damage.

Moves such as Earthquake etc. don't involve the user making contact with the opponent either. This doesn't distinguish special attacks from physical attacks. - Jshadias 19:28, 6 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Should it be then, moves that require the use of brute force, or something along those lines? That's a good point, though. I hadn't considered that. --Greengiant
