::This is the case for me too. == The lost Coin ==
A gentleman says he lost a coin on one leg of the trip, whereas another guy in the same room on the other leg says he found it. Im assuming this to be an easter egg or joke or something but I wanted to ask about it here first, before i go editing the page. Either way, I think its weird enough to warrant mention. About trainers

Whoever's adding trainers should note that the trainer battles are different for the first trip on the boat (when you get the Metal Coat, going to Vermilion City). Also, is there a way to get rid of the Pokegear Phone disclaimer, as it doesn't apply in this case? IIMarckus 04:17, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

In that case, you should add it (unless you passed it already)... ht14 12:06, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Just close up the table with a |}, rather than the disclaimer. They don't get tougher, though? Ever? TTEchidna 17:56, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
I battled them multiple times. They're the same Pokémon. There was the trainer with the Cloyster, Octillery, and their pre-evos, and I still remembered them as the same. I COULD check again for confirmation though. ht14 18:23, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Besides, the footer is inaccurate. You can't use PokéGear here. We should get a regular footer that just closes the table... ht14 18:25, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

In SS on my second voyage (I can't remember the direction) I definitely got stopped for a battle by the sailor that you have to run past to get to the captain, and I entered one cabin and got battled there, so maybe it's just a time thing? My second voyage wasn't until after I had 15 or 16 badges, so there was plenty of time between them. Werdnae (talk) 18:34, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
The very first trip doesn't seem to count for the trainers, I had the same experience. Now though, he won't battle me anymore. It looks like you get three fights: the trainers on the first trip from olivine to vermilion, the trainers on the first return trip from vermilion to olivine, and the trainers on the first repeat trip from olivine to vermilion. Image switch

Under the "Items" section, we should have that style-switcher thing (like on Arceus' page) that changes the plate image every hour or so, because the plate changes randomly everyday. Takharii ~ Talk! 05:59, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

According to this it changes by index number. I've noted that and set the sprite to switch daily. Werdnae (talk) 06:38, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Map location

Why don't we use the location isplayed by the map when viewed on the ship? It appears somewhere to the south between Johto and Kanto, below Routes 27 and 28. --SnorlaxMonster 11:27, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

Each would only use the first three Pokémon in their party. Werdnae (talk) 09:24, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
No, because what happens when you double battle them is that once you've fainted 6 Pokémon, the little Pokéballs will display that there's one pokemon left, and once you faint that, it will display that there is another pokemon left. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLFPQnWTpQQ 7777822 01:43, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
