May I remind you that we have all the other data structures. This is fine. TTEchidna 02:50, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
There are people who are interested in how the game works on a technical and fundamental level. If you do not want to see this, I see two alternatives. Remove it, and I will be happy to stop posting technical information about the game and I will be happy to post it elsewhere. Second, I can make a separate technical page for different aspects of the game. This has its advantages and disadvantages. Advantage would be a central location from where to pull information about the game, separate from game mechanics and background. Disadvantage is that much of the information will be duplicated. I personally don't care either way. - unsigned comment from Sabresite (talkcontribs)

I'd like to note that although randomizers are indeed usually seeded by the current date and time, the 3rd generation RPGs use the total time spent on the title screen. --Kyoufu Kawa 11:01, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

RNG Abuse?

Should I add how to abuse the RNG to produce shinies? --Kimori Geckarbor Hinoarashi 19:32, 30 October 2009 (UTC) Kimori-Hinoarashi

Move to Pseudorandom number generation in Pokémon?

The word pseudorandom is real and is often used in ICT and some aspects of Physics therefore shall we move it to that title instead of "Pseudo-random number generation in Pokémon"? --Chickasaurus 15:31, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

I disagree. Pseudo-random looks more neater than Pseudorandom Ruberduck0123 (talk!) 08:55, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Without the hyphen it looks like a fake word, even though it isn't. I prefer the hyphen. Ikarishipper900 14:34, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Older games

Why is there no information here on the random number generator in Generation I and II? Is this information just not known? Or is it that it's not necessary since people didn't abuse the random number generator back then? Dannyjenn 03:26, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
