I'm really wary of this. If there is a so-called Platinum, it wouldn't be a GS remake; did the RB remake come as one game? No, it was two. It wouldn't make sense, either, as DPv3, due to its name. Origin form

so its got giratina in 'origin' and 'another' forms, but only 'another' appeared in d/p. i guess this means that platinum will have to send a data patch when trading an origin form from platinum to d/p. right? OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs 15:24, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

The Berry Glitch was a data-patch trade, so to speak. I seemed to remember that in gen 3 there was a patch that was transferred by trading, i may have made a mistake. But surely when D/P connects to Platinum, Platinum will detect the following:

whether its connected to D/P or PL (platinum shortening)
if its D/P, whether said D/P has the patch or not

Giratina will ONLY be available as Origine Form in Platinum and when traded back to D/P its stats will be recalculated and its sprite will change to Another Form, much like Deoxys in previous games. No ,your forgeting that Giratina only changes into origin forme when its in the Torn World and since theres no Torn World in DP Giratina will only be in another forme. From user:ultamatecharizard.

Battle screenshot

I don't think the battle screen is actually updated. Looking at it, it seems to me like the HP bar and stuff are still sliding into space. Lucas doesn't have any Poké Balls by his head yet, and the background's still doing something weird, so I think it's still transitioning into the battle. --Martonimos_((Talk)) 06:12, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

A mysterious portal has opened atop Sinnoh’s Mt. Coronet, serving as the entrance to the Ruined World, an alternate dimension warping time and space. I see you didn't get it. A cry is something distinctive for every Pokémon, so, it MUST NOT be changed. More Info Regarding Platinum

From another Pokémon Sunday video about Platinum, I found out that there will me moving platforms in the Torn World. The outlying platforms you can jump on have gaps, that act a lot like the ledges in ordinary routes. I also watched the part of the video when the hosts of Pokémon Sunday were making Poffins. You have to keep spinning Swalot, and the one who gives him the most berries wins.

Worthy of a mention?

I saw this video and if you look around 2:37 you can see that there is snow lining some of the regular routes, probably linked with the climate getting colder. Well it says that the Sinnoh Dex will be increased with 52 Pokémon... The information originates from a merchandise advertisement; the item in question is associated with Platinum in its branding, but to go as far as to conclude that the collectible Pokémon therein represent the Sinnoh Pokédex critters, is quite a stretch. After all, assuming that the Pokédex has been kept in tact, why should the toy company limit the content to a rather arbitrary selection of Pokémon dictated by the games?

An addition of 59 monsters would be quite noteworthy, and yet all of the game advertisements have only shown the same Pokémon from the original Sinnoh Pokédex (unless in the context of the Battle Frontier and Wi-Fi). Why, for instance, would they have bothered to showcase Magmortar and Electivire in a Wi-Fi battle, when they could have just shown them being used by Volkner and Flint? Woa - so let me get this strait - you get to the top of Spear Piller - Battle and (hopefully) catch giratina - then you go finish the elite four & champ then you go back and get both of them - one strait after the other??? PhantomCX 11:54, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Well not really. First you get to Spear Pillar. Cyrus summons both Dialga and Palkia. Then Giratina jumps into the dimension, and opens up a portal to the Torn World. You catch Giratina in the Torn World. After you beat the E4 go back and you will see this blue energy thing, talk to it and you will battle Dialga at Lv. 70, then after that leave then come back and there will be the same thing however its pink and on the opposite side. This one is Palkia at Lv. 70. Then go to Turnback Cave and there will be a portal to the Torn World, however at a different spot. There you will find the Platinum Orb which will keep Giratina in its Origin Forme outside of the torn world. Hope that helps. Happi zel pom 14:04, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
