--No more than there'd have to be two Professor Oaks to be in every region except Hoenn at the same time - remember Professor Oak is in Johto and Sinnoh simultaneously.  He does mention he flies across the nation on his Fearow.  Thus, he'd be at whatever location the player is at and not at the location the player isn't . . . --[[User:Zeta|Zeta]] 22:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

::Well, Sinnoh's President's lines confirm he's separate character ("I'm number one because I brag the most"). Hence, I think there is no reason to think that Kanto and Hoenn Presidents (or more like Chairmans) are the same characters. The definition of "nation" is also debatable. We really don't know if all the regions are a part of the same nation, or separate nations. I think that considering them separate characters is much more safe than insisting they're the same guy. Remember that in the Special (which is the most trustable canon, discounting TCG) they were 3 different guys. Professor Oak is actually a proper character (and who said he's simultaneously in two regions. The whole "D/P is in the same time as G/S/C" theory is a pure fanwank based on the Red Gyarados [can't there be two shiny Gyaradoses?]), while the Chairman is not. There are three fanclubs, there can be three chairmans. How could one person manage three different clubs? And what would happen if the Chairman would be constantly travelling to other regions? These clubs wouldn't survive long, and remember that the Kanto one survived at least 3 years! I'm also moving this to "Pokémon Fan Club Chairman" because I checked in game that he actually calls himself '''Chairman''', not "President". --[[User:Maxim|Maxim]] 07:10, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Is there anything in the games that indicates these guys are three separate characters? Because they seem like the same guy to me. --Zeta 01:47, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, Sinnoh's President's lines confirm he's separate character ("I'm number one because I brag the most"). I'm also moving this to "Pokémon Fan Club Chairman" because I checked in game that he actually calls himself Chairman, not "President". --Maxim 07:10, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
