  • Ooo. Thank you (:

~ Takoto

  • so what're the ActionReplay codes for the items?? Origamiguy 19:26, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
We're an informative wiki, not a fan site that gives away cheats and codes! That's why we don't have them. --Theryguy512 20:26, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
We are a fansite... We're just not a code site. Go see GameFAQs. TTEchidnaFire echy 21:11, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Okay, i just wanted to know if anyone had the AR codes thats all File:Ani258MS.gifOrigamiGuy Lieks MudkipzFile:Ani258MS.gif 19:24, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
It's okay, i've found the codes. File:Ani258MS.gifOrigamiGuy Lieks MudkipzFile:Ani258MS.gif 18:40, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Why would you want them anyway? They don't have any use.--Pokencyclopedia 22:26, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Beta Sprites

I'm working on uploading the beta sprites I've mentioned in the article, just in case anybody has any doubts. Homerowed 14:58, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Seventeen days later, and now I have doubts. Anyone else?--Amp 23:08, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

File:422beta custom.png File:423beta custom.png
cool... don't you think? hfc2X 06:43, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

These are custom, I assume? The article states that there are no frontsprites for these forms in the game. --((Marton imos)) 04:48, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Also, can we see the beta back sprites for Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Jirachi, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, and Manaphy?

Shellos might be intended to appear in in Battle Zone

Look, the programmers in Game Freak might have scrapped the beta back sprites in production. Shellos might have been intended to be placed also in the Norteastern island (Battle Zone) in Sinnoh. K.J.Boring 04:12, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

False Sinnoh?

Anyone got a YouTube video of a walkthrough? TTEchidna 02:42, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

No, I checked yesterday, even one of my U2b friends, who has tones of AC codes, didnt Know about it. GuyNamedSean 23:01, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Fake Sinnoh is not part of the beta. It's generated by the player walking for 65535 steps in any direction. For what I've heard 65535 has a special meaning in electronic devices. Maybe it marks the ending of the game data and marks the spot where the map restarts. I don't see another explanation. hfc2X 23:33, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Wierd, I was going to do that but I stopped at about 6500 steps and the game said I was in Jubilife. GuyNamedSean Rulez The World!!!
65535 is 216 - 1. It's a lot like how in GSC and RBY the Pokémon's index numbers only went as high as 255 (28 - 1). TTEchidna 04:48, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
In other words, 65535 is the largest value that can be held by a two‐byte unsigned integer. Incrementing past that causes an overflow—what effect that has on the resulting program depends (of course) on the program, but that’s probably what causes this “False Sinnoh” thing. Image

I found this image on the archives that has a weird sprite for Grotle. a:Image:Aobasu.jpg, it also has a news story on bulbanews: n:Aobasu, Naetle's evolved form, revealed Could this have been a beta sprite? MaverickNate 18:06, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Most probably, I think it should be mentioned. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 18:15, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
NO! Those are fake sprites made before the release of D/P to fool people into thinking it was Grotle. It's clear that it is fake, as the sprite does not include the flash of the cammera. hfc2X 23:41, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Clean Up

I did some clean up (opening line, phrasing), which makes the article much closer to standards, but I don't want to take the label off, in case I missed something. Anyone want to double check for me? Jazzmoth 03:51, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Mudkip's Backsprite

I notice theres is a red spot on its tail fin. What was it for, Gender difference? coloring error?--Force Fire talk 04:31, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Who knows... it was there, but they didn't give any explanation. I personally wouldlike to know why is Jirachi's cut in half. hfc2X 19:39, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

I found this......

So, I was using AR(walk-through-walls) on mount coronet and I was just being curious walking through the mountain side and I found a cave! I tried to go in it but I just walked through it in the mountain-side, seems like nothing was completely planned for the cave. Beside it were 6 rocks that could be smashed with rock smash. Well, see for your self if you don't believe me. Okay, get your AR on, with the walk-through-walls code, go to Oreburgh and go into Mount Coronet, follow the way out to the snowy path and go right and you will see the cave and a couple of the rocks, try to enter it, and like me you'll just pass into the mountain side. Well another thing I found is in the second snowy spot. Go into a very left cave in the fist snowy part(the place where there's a waterfall and surf), come out and you'll see 5 rocks that can be smashed with rock smash, you'll see a grassy area with a rock that can't be smashed on your down-side, go there(yes, pokémon can be encountered there, there just normal pokémon, though) and by the end of the grass, you'll see an unused rock climb space that actually says the message, I'm not sure if you can rock climb it, but it's just 2 steps. Well, someone can look into this and see what we should be added, it's possible beta stuff.--DRAGONBEASTX 19:00, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, I can't verify the info as I don't have AR, but if you could take screenshots, it would be nice as we need pics for the other beta maps too. Could you? hfc2X 19:40, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm not exactly good with taking screen-shots and I don't have a camera right now..... it just seems I can't prove my find.... :(..... Though I know its true and..... only someone else can prove it.....--DRAGONBEASTX 19:50, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, I actually do believe you, but if you don't have a screenshot, don't put it in the article or it will be deleted. A webcam takes good pics too. hfc2X 22:13, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

I won't put it in the article until I can prove it.--DRAGONBEASTX 04:12, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

i have an AR, and i walk trough walls sometimes. i even recorded it once (its really bad though...). so, if you give me some better coordinates, i can check it out. -- MAGNEDETH 04:34, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
ok, i checked it out. its actually the cave entrance for later on, pre-loaded. it only activates if you continue into the mountain and then subsequently come out of that cave. each of Mt. Coronets bits are loaded separately (idk why, thats a real waste of space) so if you walk off, you can see further bits that arent loaded yet. -- MAGNEDETH 05:41, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey Magnedeth, what about the rock climb place? It's only 2 steps though. You know, if you wanna get to Spear Pillar, you have to pass through 2 snowy areas? Well, just after you enter the second one from the cave with the waterfall and pool of water, go down to the grass where you can't reach without walk anywhere cheat. There are 6 rock smash rocks and theres the grass on a on a slightly higher place. Go to the grass, which goes 5 steps down and you'll see it extends to the left, go until you see 2 steps of rock climb. It even asks you but I'm not sure if Rock climb can be used. So?--DRAGONBEASTX 11:05, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

point me to the location. here. ignore the graphics, i stole it off the forums. -- MAGNEDETH 20:21, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

It's a little messy, but your right its graphics from the rock climb place from BEFORE, like the cave was for AFTER. Here......

--DRAGONBEASTX 02:48, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

yea, thats what i thought. nice try anyway. -- MAGNEDETH 04:09, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

What kind of "nice try". All that happened was I THOUGHT it was beta, AND I didn't put it on the page until it was checked out. There's a wink to it that I wasn't just rushing stuff without checking. ;) REALLY, I thought it was some beta stuff, until MAG got the REAL facts to prove it wasn't.--DRAGONBEASTX 06:30, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Cherrim leftover...

Where should this be put? File:Cherrimanimation.png.
I'm going to sleep... good night. LAWL hfc2X 06:15, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

? What is it? TTEchidna 06:31, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
The animation for when Cherrim is sent out of a ball in its sunny form.... otherwise normally unobtainable in-game. — THE TROM — 06:35, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Here...

This, I suppose is the area north east of Pallet. [1] You know, it might have been a beta area for something like the sevii islands... maybe they got the idea for Route 201 from this one... the trees on top of the ledge seem to match... Well, what do guys think of it?--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 20:54, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Why are you commenting about this on the DP beta page? — THE TROM — 21:27, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Well... one thing is that it says it on the page. And I saw the video when I was searching online... so that led me to see what people think of the idea that the dropped design might have been the model for Route 201... So what do guys think of it?--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 04:07, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmmmmm... It seems to look a bit like a glitch to me.--Clarky13 04:16, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Umm, the user in the video just hacked the game to fool people. There's no area like this in the game >____>; --Sanky 03:29, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

pokétch

i dont know if it was ever mentioned but didn't the pokétch look different before the release of Diamond and Pearl, should that be mentioned?--Pokéboy93 04:06, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Can i add this image?

poketchi4.png I asked a while ago and no one answered.--Pokéboy93 07:54, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Is it in the Games data? ŚĥîΠŶPî₭₳ĉĥŭ 18:33, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
No, but the pic of Jubilife on the article is not in the game either. Serebii told me that it was used during promotion of DP.--Pokéboy93 22:13, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
Hold on, I have a higher quality one here.--Mew a.k.a. Immewnity was here at 12:08, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, i'm new so i would not know how to put a picture in anyways. So thanks again.--Pokéboy93 13:09, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Loot Sack

I've encountered this item while I was creating a whole list of the items by index number in Platinum. It's a beta item, just like the Treasure Sack, although this one wasn't in the item list in my Platinum (EU). So maybe some of you know what the Loot Sack is? Maybe it is the Treasure Sack, I don't know, but since I cannot find that one, I guess it's the same item. It's description in Platinum is "A sturdy, spacious bag that is used to carry loot obtained in the coal mine.". --Grovyle91 19:00, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Pre-release official art.

I heard there was some pre-Japanese release official art that showed Dawn and Lucas with brown hair instead of navy blue/blue hair. Is that true? Anyone have the art? Unrelated, the article states something about Team Galactic and Pearl beta sprites. I see nothing about them in the article, other then that one line. What does that line mean? Lovely Rose 02:05, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Don't know about the Japanese pre-release art of Dawn and Lucas, but for the TG and Pearl betas, they weren't put in the final version of the game, so we don't have them. R.A. Hunter Blade 02:10, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Then, how do we know they exist, if no one has them? Lovely Rose 02:17, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Most likely interviews and stuff. Or maybe there was a picture somewhere, just like the Munchlax and Weavile ones had been in screenshots and changed drastically. R.A. Hunter Blade 02:31, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Maybe just saying it was from Pokéspecial?--Midnight Blue 03:02, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
