3DSWare?

Would this be called 3DSWare? Heck, has the name 3DSWare ever been confirmed? (trademarks and Nintendo Greece logos don't count)--immewnitythemew 16:39, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

No, Nintendo isn't using the term "3DSWare". Instead they're calling downloadable titles from the eShop "Nintendo 3DS download software". Tyeforce 07:27, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Wait...

Where did this say this would be free for a limited time? --Jonouchi 18:11, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Possible Trivia

I think it is noteworthy that the game was released on western shores in the very week after it has been announced. To my knowledge, no game has ever come close to being released the very week after it was revealed, so I think it should be mentioned in the article. Torngentleman2 19:46, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

  • And when I said 'no game', I meant no Pokémon game. Torngentleman2 19:47, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

QR Codes

Is Bulbapedia going to have a list of each Pokemon's QR Code for the Pokedex 3D? King Riolu 10:01, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Talking to Archaic, he's told me no, at least not yet. Perhaps eventually, if Nintendo won't kill us. TTEchidna 11:58, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
Someone added an image of the codes anyway. BTW, though Wikipedia would almost certainly call this original research, I've cracked the code and discovered that it is based on NATIONAL Pokedex numbers, meaning you can create codes for non-Unova Pokemon. They don't work yet, of course, but it's not difficult to figure out what the codes are. The alternate formes use "Pokedex numbers" in the 700s, leaving exactly enough space for every non-Unovan alternate forme (and Meloetta and Genesect's). Thus, it's possible (but not necessarily the case) that this could be updated for other generations in the future. I won't put this on the page unless people think it's exceptionally notable, but I figured it should be said on the Talk page, at least. --HeroicJay 22:52, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Quick help

Are the Pokemon that people start out with the same across all units, or are they random? Because I was thinking about adding a list of that nature to help this article out. --Jonouchi 20:29, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Yes, everyone starts with the starters in all three stages, Audino, Minccino, Axew, Foongus, Emolga, Scraggy, and Hydreigon. --HeroicJay 18:10, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Trivia?

I think it is noteworthy that this is the first Pokémon game not to feature Pikachu in any way, shape or form. I'll let the admins decide though. Torngentleman2 19:59, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

I'm no admin, but since the game is able to download updates (which could include a National Dex), and has data for Volt Tackle, the signature move of the Pikachu line, I wouldn't jump on that just yet. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 21:27, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Not-so-QR codes

Just one look at Wikipedia's page will show that the images for this app are not, in fact, QR codes. They're a similar concept, sure, but "similar" does not mean "the same". The game's digital manual refers to them as "AR markers" (AR = "Altered Reality", which is how Nintendo refers to anything that puts game graphics over images from the cameras.) --HeroicJay 02:24, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

3D Photos

Will Pokemon have their 3D picture (not their marker, just the actual picture) uploaded onto the servers and available for viewing on their pages? --Scepiewit 08:48, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

What servers and pages? Bulbapedia’s? This talk page is about this article, try asking that in the forums or on Talk:Main Page. --LaprasBoi 15:35, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
I believe they are asking if we will upload an image of how a Pokémon looks within the AR viewer. I'm not against it, but do we need it? Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 15:38, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Incomplete?

So, a bunch of us have added and refined a LOT of info in the past week or two. What still needs to be added for the incomplete template to go away? I don’t think we’re going to get sales data on a free download. So the only other thing I can think of is a reception section with reviews and such. If there’s anything else, please mention it here AND add it to the template. --LaprasBoi 15:35, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Limit to SpotPass Pokemon?

Unless there's some other issue at hand here, there appears to be a limit to how many Pokemon can be obtained using the SpotPass feature. As of yesterday, I am no longer receiving my daily Pokemon (despite being in wireless range), and if I've done the math correctly, my last Pokemon was the 70th one I got via SpotPass. That doesn't seem like just a random number, so I'm inclined to believe that there may be a limit of 70 SpotPass distribs - and if that is the case, we should add it to the article.

Has anyone else seemingly hit such a limit? 梅子 03:13, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Hmm...if I've done my math correctly, I've obtained 85 so far via SpotPass. I have 107, you start off with 16, 6 are available for scan, so 107-22 = 85. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 03:19, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not getting any more either. All I have left to get are Pansage, Simisage, Pansear, Simisear, the male forms of Unfezant, Frillish and Jellicent, and the Summer, Autumn, and Winter forms of Deerling and Sawsbuck (yeah, I did a little cheating with the clock initially). - unsigned comment from Missingno.
