Pokémon

Well, I don't have too much of a right to say anything, since I don't know of an official source, but doesn't this need to be updated with all the other Pokémon availiable?--Black Yin Zekrom 02:34, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

It is an online feature, and Game Freak can make whatever they want appear in the wild here. --SnorlaxMonster 10:32, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Trivia

Should it be noted that a scientist in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald who is trying to develop a device that visually reproduced the dreams of Pokémon? It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 12:07, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

I think it should, and I kind of remember it. Where was it? Was he the guy in the Devon building in Rustboro? --SnorlaxMonster 06:20, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, he was one of them. I believe the one in the top center. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 11:37, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

I added these to the list, but I haven't added their abilities. --Eskay 20:12, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Mewtwo and Other Legendaries

Alright, Mewtwo has a Dream World ability, so why isn't it listed in the Dream World? And what about other Legendaries like Groudon, Rayquaza, and the like? Is this list simply incomplete?--Black Yin Zekrom 04:09, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes, please read the {{incomplete}} template. That's what it says.--444Zekrom 04:17, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

I would like to thank everyone

For your effort put into this job. Thanks!--444Zekrom 10:04, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Dream World insiders?

Now the Dream World is open to the public, shouldn't we start adding stuff we can do there? I already summarized the big picture on this Bulbanews article I wrote, but I'm not sure how to best add all of that to this article. I'll start adding more details once someone has some solution. --BlackySully 15:38, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Evolution

For Pokémon with different Dream World abilities than their evolutions, does their ability change upon evolving? For instance, would an Eevee with Anticipation evolve into a Vaporeon with Hydration? Or would the Vaporeon just have Water Absorb, like a normal in-game Vaporeon? --AndyPKMN 18:15, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Since this is still unanswered (a month later), I'll create a corollary to the question. It's been suggested that Daruma Mode Hihidaruma can't have evolved. But what ability does a Darumakka with Inner Focus (obtained via the Dream World) have upon evolution? --AndyPKMN 22:57, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Inner Focus Darumakka evolves into Daruma Mode Hihidaruma. Pokémon with Dream World abilities evolve into their Dream World forms. surskitty 14:55, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Pictures

Is there any chance to rip ALL Pokemon pictures from the Dream World website? This is the only way we could get decent artworks of Gen V Pokemon so early on. Also, they'll be useful even after the Sugimori Artwork is revealed (we can put them to the gallery, they are kind of like Dream World "sprites"). --Maxim 09:36, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes. Bluesun 20:59, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Separate

I suggest the abilities part be a separate page. This page needs to have info on the Dream World itself and not just the Pokémon's abilities it gives. Also, there are Pokémon the come with moves, not just abilities. tc²₆tc26 08:52, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Agreed. I think we should also have a clear distinction between Dream World abilities and "natural" abilities. For example a "dream world only ability" tag, and having different tables in ability pages for pokemon that can have the ability naturally and those that only have it through the Dream World... I guess this is a good topic for the Main talk page, so I'll start a discussion there. --BlackySully 23:53, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
I say we keep it all as one page. The abilities get one section, the moves get another section. Dream World abilities are already separated like that. --SnorlaxMonster 12:22, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
That would mean a horribly long page full of tables and text all together. A mess. There are too much Pokémon. If they decide to expand this in a new game, it will get worse. tc²₆tc26 11:15, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
I say one page for the Dream World describing the features, areas, etc., and one page, maybe two, for abilities and moves. I don't think we can fit everything on this page, especially because of how many things one can do in the Dream World (not limited to catching Pokémon). --AndyPKMN 14:08, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
That would be opposed to having several extra pages that are purely tables. We could have List of Pokémon by Dream World ability if this page gets long, but it seems fine for now. As for the moves, there aren't many so they can have a section here, no need for their own page. --SnorlaxMonster 01:33, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon available

Is it true that every Pokémon is available in the Dream World? I don't think the evolved forms are available.-Billy4b2004 12:13, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Every Pokémon can be available, it's all up to whoever manages the Dream World to put Pokémon in. There are no set Pokémon. --SnorlaxMonster 12:41, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Latter Two Methods Disabled

Players may make neighbors by meeting other players online, after adding Friend Codes, meeting on the GTS, or befriending someone as the Dream Tree. However, the latter two methods depend on options which are currently disabled. Players may go to their neighbors' islands and water their berries or trade items.

So, will the latter two methods ever be undisabled or are the disabled forever for unexplained reasons?- unsigned comment from Bellsprout (talkcontribs)

As of yet it's hard to tell. I doubt they would've coded them originally with the intention of disabling them (though Faraway Island and the Hall of Origin do spring to mind...), and the tutorials even mention them. Having grayed out buttons also seems odd, if they were going to remove them completely they should've removed the buttons too. It seems they were only disabled along with the introduction of the hour limit from the news releases and help topics, so I'd assume when the hour limit is removed(if ever...) they'll be re-enabled. Bluesun 14:02, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Limit of 50

Serebii talks about a limit wherein you can only receive 50 Pokémon from the Dream World ever. Others on the net say that that limit applies only to the number in the High Link forest (unless Serebii actually means the same thing, just bad wording). Can anyone here confirm what is true? tc²₆tc26 06:37, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... I had assumed it wouldn't be a hard limit of 50 as that seems an odd arbitrary number. Looking at the text I have though now I'm even more confused... I thought there was more detail about it, but this is all I can find in the Dream World tutorial, and I can't find anything about it in the game. I'll keep looking though.
This is the Friend Board.
Photographs of the Pokemon that were met and wished to become a friend at the Dream Island, and those Pokemon whose wishes have been granted, appear on this Friend Board.
The Pokemon on the Friend Board will appear in the Hi Link's Forest Plaza.
The Pokemon that appear in the Forest Plaza will surely become your friends.
That's right! If there are more than 50 photographs on the Friend Board, you can't go to the Dream Island, so be careful!
Translation by me. Bluesun 16:55, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
The picture accompanying the second half of that help page displays the side of the friend board that shows Pokemon from Dream World waiting to be brought back to your game. I suspect it means that it can only store 50 Pokemon before you have to bring them back, but the other side (pokemon you have brought back) looks like it may only have room at the bottom between the arrows for 5 pages of Pokemon at 10 pictures per page, so I don't know. I've only brought back 25 anyway, so it'll be a while before I could say. --Emtu 18:51, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

I found this page after searching for this very subject. Unable to find a concrete answer anywhere on the web (that was perfectly clear) I contacted the pokemon support team. Here is their response: "Currently, the limit for total transfers is 50 as stated. It is possible that this limit will be expanded in future promotions or updates, however there is no released information to do so at this time." So it looks like we're stuck at 50 for now. I responded and asked if the 50 pokemon limit included promotional pokemon, like the evee evolution. I'll update when I receive a response. Torynspirit 23:43, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

I've passed more than 100 pokémon from dream world to my japanese game. Or you are talking about limit of pokémon inside of the entralink? In that case, I don't know, but until now, i've no problem with that. If you go to Entralink and say No to one pokémon, he'll go to more inside the forest. Maverick Hunter

America

Will this be accessible in America?--Darknesslover5000 03:40, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

I believe I saw the website listed on the American boxart. So yes. --ケンジガール 03:46, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Whew...that's a relief.--Darknesslover5000 06:03, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Dream locations

Are there set pokemon and Items that could randomly be found or is the pokemon and items appearing in a area totally random? And totally random means that say, moltres could appear in shining sea, or magikarp in the forest, etc. Catboy41 00:36, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Never mind, silly question. But shouldn't there be separate pages for the dream locations? Thanks, Catboy41 21:46, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
There should, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. --SnorlaxMonster 14:25, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Trainer tokens

I remember seeing the symbol used in the "fun zone" for trainer tokens somewhere in dream world related content I'm pretty sure I saw it on the GL site when it was up in jap and I was just blindly clicking anything to see if I could get a glimpse of what it would be like in English. is the currency use in the dream world the same currency? or is everything dream world related just shrouded in too much mystery and fog? —Mada-sama (Talk to me!)— 06:47, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

If I read the article properly I see that I am an idiot although I'm still pretty sure I saw that symbol, never mind —Mada-sama (Talk to me!)— 06:51, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Eeveelution

How do you transfer the Eeveelution from the online Pokemon.com game from there? i have no idea. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 17:10, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

You wait for the distribution to launch (in Japan that was two months after the minigame did), then go to Promotions and activate it there. Then, the next time you wake up a Pokémon, it'll come too. Bluesun 18:21, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

I got a message from the Pokemon website support the other day that said the eeveelutions will be available on May 5th. Legionaireb 06:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Dream World abilities and breeding with Ditto

Read:

Breeding mechanics:

Female Pokémon with Hidden Abilities can pass on the Hidden Ability to their offspring. Ditto count as male for this purpose.

However, I have seen other sources that say that Dream World abilities will not be inherited by the offspring at all if the father involved is Ditto. Can anyone else confirm this? Fenyx4 11:58, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

This doesn't count as verification, but I just tried breeding my Cloud Nine female Lickitung with a Ditto and none of the 20 eggs I hatched came out with Cloud Nine. Hezekiah957 23:39, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Couldn't find anything relevant on the talk page for breeding, but out of 16 eggs with a Ditto and a Nidoran Female with Hustle, none of them hatched to have Hustle. Not impossible, but improbable. I have also not had it occur for any of my other Pokemon with Dream World abilities, out of 60-ish eggs total. I'd say this warrants further checking, but I'm inclined to think that they do not pass on through Ditto. TheBeardedRobot 06:47, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Good Evening. Pokemon Black & Pokemon White Versions: The Official Unova Pokedex & Guide: Volume 2. Page 239 "Hidden Abilities can be inherited Two of the Pokémon you'll find in the game have Hidden Abilities: the Musharna that shows up in the Dreamyard every Friday after you finish the main story, and the Darmanitan that awakens from a statue with a RageCandyBar in the Desert Resort. If you leave a Musharna with the Hidden Ability Telepathy at the Pokémon Day Care, you may find an Egg of a Munna with the same Hidden Ability. If you leave a Darmanitan with the Hidden Ability Zen Mode, you may find an Egg of a Darumaka with the Hidden Ability Inner Focus." There is a fine-print at the bottom of the page. "If the male Pokémon has a Hidden Ability, or if you leave a Pokémon with a Ditto, the Hidden Ability won't be passed on."

Just helping to confirm this with an official source/reference before more rumors spread. PKMN Soldier Berlioz 03:59, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

can someone find out if you can manipulate game sync by changing the time? i don't think you can. Pokemoninfo 20:32, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Shiny Pokémon

Is it possible to catch a shiny Pokémon from the dream world? --FiMbUlWiNtEr2O|2 18:19, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Pile ice cream!

Possible to have a list of what berries generate what ice cream in terms of scoop and stickiness? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 15:17, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

I made one back in October, and gave it to Serebii.
Here it is, and here's the news page mentioning it was my data. I don't seem to have the original text files anymore but there you go. By the way there's also a scoop of ice cream with six stars in each stat (lol) but that never gets used. Bluesun 17:00, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
o_O Oh this should be fun. *gets to work~* Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 17:11, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Genders

Has anyone else noticed that there are more male Pokémon than female. I've had about 4 females out of 20 Pokémon. Pikiwyn talk 19:36, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Interesting. Which Pokémon turned out male, and which turned out female? It could just be gender ratios at play, and the ones you caught were more likely to be male anyway. --AndyPKMN (talk) 00:15, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Its been in Pleasant Forest with under 7500 Dream Points and as far as I know most have a 50/50 ratio (except Nidoran). I also checked the last 42 I found, 9 out of 42 were female so it looks like about a 25% chance to be female. Pikiwyn talk 01:20, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
It depends on how you do in the games. tc²₆tc26 02:18, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
No, it doesn't. When you enter the Island of Dreams, a list of Pokemon with predefined genders is sent to your computer. For some Pokemon you can even tell which gender they are by which minigame they want to play(!). Bluesun 15:18, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

I as well have noticed the severe lack of female Pokémon being generated in the Dream World. After building up 50, I had only 10 females. Since only female Pokémon with Hidden Abilities may be used to breed the Hidden Ability, this would seem intentional so as to reduce the possibility of some individual getting a female to breed and trade the Hidden Ability over the Global network. I wouldn't be surprised if they also put a deadlock on the offspring of a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability being female. Seems reasonable to me. Hidden Abilities are supposed to be special to have. If you could just breed it, it wouldn't be valuable anymore. PKMN Soldier Berlioz 04:04, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

I can also vouch for what feels like a 75% males ratio -- it took me ages to find females of two species I am fond of (Shinx and Hoothoot). ----Stratelier 15:30, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Loblolly

Does she have a Japanese name, or was she unnamed? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 20:19, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

She does have a Japanese name. Bluesun 15:18, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
o.o Do we know what it is? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 15:34, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
シタン. Up to you how to romanise it, I'd go with Shitan but I believe I read somewhere here someone found an etymological name link with シ being 'Ci'. Loblobby seems a dumb name though imo, makes me think of 'lol Blobby.' Bluesun 19:31, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Well a loblolly is a tree. I suppose the name sounds like something a person could dream up. ...So's Shitan, too. Red sandalwood tree. Nice. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 20:07, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Dream Points

How exactly do you earn Dream Points, and where can you see how many you've collected? Cmlobue 01:45, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

GL profile. Earned through games, watering plants, making a wish at the three and others. tc²₆tc26 02:18, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

The table of actions and how many Dream Points they award was taken from Serebii, correct? Has anyone actually confirmed these values? I ask because when you check your Dream Points in your profile, it never seems to end in single digits, so I wonder if the "1 point" per Item Swap is accurate or not. I believe someone else brought this up on the forum as well, so I thought I'd make a note of it here. If no one's confirmed these values personally, I can try to check my profile after performing certain actions to see if I can pinpoint if these values are correct. Ndoto 14:56, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Just as an update, I've definitely confirmed the Dream Points chart to be incorrect. I'm still collecting some data for some of the values I'm less sure of, but once I've finalized my findings, I'll update the chart in the article to reflect them. Ndoto 16:30, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
I just played through today, recording nearly every action I took, as I've been doing for the past few times. According to the newly-current chart, I have gained 470 points today. However, my current point total is 3030--exactly +500 from last time (2530). In other words, I'm 30 points short. The only action I'm not 100% sure on is how many times I've swapped items, since I forgot I was recording that amidst my mad search for berries to water. I'm pretty sure I've done it at least twice...WAIT! I think I might have done it thrice! I remember swapping for a Pass Orb once, then swapping it away, but I ended up with one at the end, and I never found one on the island.
Let's see...The first time I swapped, I got a Pass Orb. The second time, I swapped a Pass Orb for a Net Ball. And...the third time, I swapped...I swapped a Payapa Berry for another Pass Orb! This means I swapped 3 times!!
Ergo!
I have reason to believe that remaining 30 points comes from the three times I swapped items--10 points per swap! (If this is true, then wherever the chart was originally obtained most likely had a typo.) What say you of this theory? FerreTrip 18:35, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Did your point totals on the other days you'd recorded your actions match in line with what they should have been based on the chart? Do you recall swapping items on those days? The 30 point difference seems strangely out of place - do you know how many neighbors' berry patches you watered and how many games you played and succeeded at on Dream Island? Have you recorded data on days following this and have you noticed any other irregularities? I will resume tracking my own data for a while to try to see if I can notice anything out of the ordinary, but I was fairly heavy on the swapping (average of 12 times per session as I was purposefully trying to test swapping) and never noticed my total Dream Points increasing at all from this. There's a chance the extra 30 points could have come from a few berries that were watered without your recorded total being updated, or even just 1 berry patch and 1 minigame played that were missed in the recording of data. I'm not saying that you're wrong, mind you - just trying to determine if this was a one-off "fluke" in the data. We'll need to see if it holds up in subsequent trips to the Dream World to say for sure. Of course, the easiest testing method would be to simply enter the dream world, swap as many items as possible, and then log out without doing anything else. The only points that should then be gained are the 50 you gain every time you enter the Dream World. I may test that way tonight. Ndoto 16:23, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Hmm...Okay, today, I racked up a total of 510 points. Won 13 minigames, so that's 260; watered 20 plants, that's 200; entered the Dream World, that's 50. Assuming I get 0 points for the 11 items I swapped...50 + 260 = 310, + 200 = 510. So that fits. Also, I checked the day before that day's and found that, ignoring the item swapping, I got the right number of points. So I must have maybe won a minigame and watered a berry plant without recording. I'd say your chart's accurate, at least for now (who knows--they might change things up a bit sometime later on). FerreTrip 21:47, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
I can confirm that item swapping doesn't give Dream Points. When the chart was published, I thought not getting Dream Points for swapping was out of place, so I tested it (checked points, made swap, checked points), and it does nothing. However, there is still the possibility that having others swap with you gives you points. --SnorlaxMonster 07:51, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
I've double-checked that as well, and in fact had someone swap a number of items on my shelf while I was in the Dream World last night (went to shelf, went elsewhere, came back to shelf and at least 3 items had been swapped). I can confirm no points are gained when someone swaps with the items on your shelf (which is sad, because I really do think that would be a nice way of doing it to provide incentive to keep your shelves stocked with desirable items and not just trash). Ndoto 14:21, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Pals

The article says that you can only visit Pals' houses, and that the house generated in the bottom right corner of the Dream Pal map is the player's Game Pal. However, I only have two Game Pals, and I have never seen either of them in that slot, and the only people I ever see there are randoms. Also, I can visit the houses of the random people who visit my house. In fact, Game Pals have no affect on the Dream World at all; Game Pals belong on the Pokémon Global Link page. --SnorlaxMonster 11:00, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, a bit of an assumption on my part since I have to many people on my Pal Pad to remember everyone. Also, I forgot about the mat. Just fix it :D tc²₆tc26 11:02, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Used to be that Game Pals did turn up in the bottom right slot, when they showed up in every slot in the old Japanese-only version, but yeah now it seems you can't visit Game Pals at all (unless they're also Dream Pals, I've heard). Bluesun 15:16, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Question

"Upon entering the Island of Dreams a certain number of times, players will start to find nothing on the island" is that until the next visit or forever? Pikiwyn talk 14:23, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Until the next visit. Players can perform about 4-5 runs through the Island of Dreams before they can no longer encounter Pokémon or items, and then upon the next Game Sync, they can start fresh. Ndoto 14:51, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Breeding Mechanics

Regarding the Breeding Mechanics section, it mentions passing on the Hidden Ability of a female Dream World Pokémon, but makes no mention of male Pokémon and the Dream World-only moves. Can these be passed on via breeding at all, or are they exclusive only to Pokémon that are actually found in the Dream World? Either way, should a note of that be made in the article? Ndoto 15:00, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

If they're egg moves, yes, they can. tc²₆tc26 23:30, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Find the missing <Pokémon>!

The game we're calling "Find the missing <Pokémon>!" is called "Pokémon Seek" when you fail. Should we change the section header? --SnorlaxMonster 10:18, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

In fact, "Let's play with a Flying Pokémon!" is named "Sky Race" when the Pokémon request that you play it. --SnorlaxMonster 10:31, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
They all have shorter snappier names, I noticed them looking through the .xml files, but since they weren't shown anywhere near as prominent as the current titles I didn't add them. I'll go check what they were. Bluesun 18:51, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Here they are:
<string id="y_ag_1">I'm sorry you didn't succeed at Ice Cream Scoop.</string>
 <string id="y_ag_3">I'm sorry you didn't complete the Sky Race.</string>
 <string id="y_ag_5">I'm sorry you didn't succeed at Pokémon Seek.</string>
 <string id="y_ag_7">I'm sorry you didn't succeed at Wailord's Water Spout.</string>
Also, I have access to the Dream World text in all seven languages, so if you want any worldwide names of anything, just let me know what on my talkpage. One notable exception however is Décor. Bluesun 19:11, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
I think that we should use those names, as they seem to be the actual names of the games, whereas the ones we are currently using are just sentences. --SnorlaxMonster 01:02, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Score

Is it yet known whether the Score for your Mini-game completions go to anything? Like a score board, high scores, something? It currently feels too shallow to bother putting a score to your performance. Just need to hit the Target Line then stop is really it...- unsigned comment from PKMN Soldier Berlioz (talkcontribs)

Well I know for a fact it goes towards your Dream Points. As for a high score board, I don't know. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:48, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it affects the moves of your Pokémon. If you perform poorly, it only has common moves; if you perform well, it has the more common special move; if you perform very well, it has the rarer special move. --SnorlaxMonster 08:04, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I wish there were a better way to test this. My first few days, I did pretty horribly in all of the mini-games (just barely passing the target but with low scores) and I still got Pokémon that knew their special moves. Conversely, I've done really well in some minigames (>60,000 points) and only ever seemed to manage to get Pokémon with their regular moves. I have a feeling the "scoring better gives better odds of special moves" thing is more rumor than fact, but other than gathering a large data pool of resulting Pokémon from really good scores versus really bad scores, I'm not really sure how to prove it. (And even then, it would depend on whether the amount of Pokémon with special moves after obtaining high scores is actually statistically significant enough to determine the scoring to be the cause...) Ndoto 14:13, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
I'm as certain as I can be that the score affects whether the pokemon gets a heart icon after the game. Whether the heart icon is directly connected to special moves is a different issue, and I don't even remember which moves to be looking for. PLA 16:34, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
I've always seen the heart icon anytime I've passed a mini-game, and the one time I didn't pass, it only had a musical note. However, that pokemon wasn't befriended because I didn't pass the mini-game. --Zoen 12:11, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
That's interesting. I usually don't see any icon if I don't score well. As the Dream World hasn't been open long, however, the sample size is not large. PLA 07:55, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
You would see it if you mouse-over the Pokémon. As far as I've seen, all Pokémon give a symbol when moused-over. --SnorlaxMonster 08:01, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon to the Mini-game

I've obtained enough data to believe without a shadow of a doubt that every Pokémon has its own mini-game assigned to it. ex. Lickitung is always doing a Pokémon Search. I'll begin adding them as I see them. PKMN Soldier Berlioz 04:30, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Doesn't gender also play a role? I recall hearing that you can (sometimes? always?) determine the gender of a Pokémon by the ganme you're asked to play. Bikini Miltank 04:43, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I've gotten the same Pokémon to do all sorts of different games. I don't keep track of it though. But I'll keep an eye out. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:48, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Right. Here's a list of the main forest ones I made back from the Japanese Dream World.
Key: Game: Pokemon which want this gameGen/der.
Serve: 161M/F, 174M/F, 83M/F, 403M/F, 270F, 399M/F.
Search: 191M/F, 187M/(and probably F), 77M/(and probably F), 179M/F, 108M/F, 115F.
Bounce: 43M/F, 69M/F, 114M/F, 276M/F, 270M, 283M/F.
Fly: 84M/F, 32M/29F, 234M/F, 261M/F, 19M/F, 102M/F.
I haven't investigated any of the other areas in the same depth though, and don't know if it has changed for the international site.- unsigned comment from bluesun (talkcontribs)
I don't know where we should put them (probably in the area pages on the table with all the Pokémon), but here are my findings. I only specified gender where the game preferences differed, or where I have only encountered one gender. Memo326 00:41, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
I think that the minigames should be broken off into their own pages, and this can go there, as well as on the Pokémon pages themselves. --SnorlaxMonster 02:51, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Pleasant Forest

Windswept Sky

Whuh?

I am SO confused. How do you get multiple Pokémon on a friend board? Every way I can tell it could work doesn't. Since the Dream Bridge disappears after you make a wish, You can't make multiple. Also, any Pokémon you wish for comes with the Pokémon you sent, so you can't do that. EnosShayrem 20:22, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Maybe events. Once the eeveelutions are released we'll know how that works. PLA 21:26, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Click the tab 'Pokémon sent' or whatever it's called to see the last 49-50 Pokémon you've sent to your DS. Also yeah, when you have an event ready to be sent they show alongside Pokémon you've wished for. Bluesun 23:34, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

More Dream World infos

Noticed some tidbits of info missing, some could be considered tips or hints, but I'm not fully sure how to word these in adding them to the sections.

In Pokemon Seek, the timer does pause if you find the wrong Pokemon, but the timer does NOT pause when you "Listen Carefully". If you're skilled enough and know what sections would potentially hide a Pokemon, you can easily clear 3 fields within the 4-5 second period that Listen Carefully uses up when clicked.

In Wailord's Water Spout, ANY contact with a ball increases its lamp counter. If done right, a launch can cause a Pokemon to bounce between two balls rapidly as it ascends, causing the lamp counter(s) to quickly light up, thus quickly increasing your multiplier. This is only useful if you care about score, however, and as far as I know, doesn't influence any of the mechanics in the Dream World.

In Sky Race, water symbols give 300 points and Speed Up bonuses give 1000 points. When the speed meter is max, water symbols give 450 points and matching 3 symbols give an additional 1500 points.

In Ice Cream Scoop, it may be possible to lose ice cream after its been stacked by dropping a large scoop on the stack. I've noticed the ice cream wobbles and shifts a little before flashing as if it had been set again.

I've seen some people with 5 rows of garden space, but not entirely sure when that becomes unlocked as I've just got my 4th garden row.

Island of Dreams, you can go through about 4 or 5 times before nothing appears, and staying in the Dream World without waking up your Pokemon will not reset this value, nor will it allow you to go back to the Island of Dreams if you made a wish. You have to wake your Pokemon and put it to sleep again in order to be able to find Pokemon and items in the Island of Dreams again. --Zoen 12:05, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

I just want to add that the one hour time limit doesn't seem to be set in stone. I just tried it, and started playing at 2:10 AM EDT. I am now getting messages saying "An hour has passed since you started playing. It is now 3:28 AM EDT. the first five messages had both the x in the corner, and the "Return to Dream World" button. Then, the sixth message omitted the buttons, instead telling me I either HAD to wake up my Pokemon, or continue sleeping. Does anybody know what "stops" the timer? Like if there's a loading screen, does it stop the 1 hour timer, or not? --Tails0600 07:31, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
It doesn't, the timer is started shortly before the main Dream World video finishes loading and from then on nothing stops it, and it's counted server-side. I don't know how it chooses whether to give you the 'Return to Dream World' button or not but the amount of times it comes up seems to differ wildly. Bluesun 11:54, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Also, the trips to the Island of Dreams seems to be per area rather than trips total. Just a moment ago I had 6 trips to the Island of Dreams without having everything disappear: 2 of those trips were to the forest and the other 4 trips were to the sky.--Zoen 03:55, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Well, just disproved that statement. Total trips allowed to the Island of Dreams is 6 per day, regardless of the area visited. After 6, nothing will show up.--Zoen 13:20, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Wouldn't that be "per dream"? Since you can only play once per day... My experience seems to be that even if you split your excursions between multiple days, the limit still applies. --Stratelier 07:41, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Logging in for points

I tried logging in today to see how many points I'd really earn. For logging in, I got 30, and that was without tucking in a Pokémon. Maybe the other 20's for tucking in one? tc²₆tc26 11:03, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Interesting! Did you have a previous Pokémon tucked in and still sleeping, or did you wake him up previously and so you had no Pokémon at all in the Dream World? If this can be confirmed it seems like it'd be very useful to put on the points chart. Ndoto 13:28, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Strange.... As soon as I logged in, I picked 7 berries (70 Dream Points), but when I hover the pointer over my Dratini, he still had an ellipsis. -ContraMundum 16:44, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Harvesting berries does not award any Dream Points; only tucking in a Pokémon/logging into the Dream World, watering another player's berry patches and successfully completing mini-games on the Island of Dreams will award Dream Points. Ndoto 18:46, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
Personally, I've never gotten points for logging in/tucking in a pokémon. I've also noticed that it takes a minute for the points to register, thus a delay in the icon over a pokémon's head. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 18:53, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
I know this is old, but does just logging in to the site give you Dream Points? Or do you have to play? 'Cause I logged in everyday for the past week and I didn't get any points... →ΑΧΧΟΝΝfire 21:29, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Waking.

There doesn't appear to be a way to wake a pokemon without the website, does there? It's interesting because the Walker wasn't strictly needed to restore the absent pokemon in HG/SS thanks to the safety feature. PLA 07:49, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

You can do it just via Game Sync, but it does seem that you can't remove your Pokémon while PGL is down. --SnorlaxMonster 08:01, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Dream Island Areas and Badges

I edited the Areas section and added the badge number requisite for each one. My main source is my own experience, I've played for almost a month, I reached the 2500 points in the first week, and I've never visited a new area, not even once. Not when the chance was 50%, and not when it was 66.6% (5000 points). I even reached 7500 points yesterday and found new Pokemon in the Pleasant forest, but again, no new area. With 6 trips to the dream Island each day, if we start to count from when I reached 2500 points, I visited the Dream Island 126 times, and never got to a new area. I started to compare my account with other people, and the only difference I found was the number of badges, I had only 3 so far. So I went and defeated Elesa, and guess what? Windswept Sky on the first try. Secondary sources are Japanese blogs like: http://isami444.blog106.fc2.com/blog-entry-157.html http://ameblo.jp/juy1004/entry-10744609539.html Plus: http://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q1452044824 http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110428000143AAXesZ7 --Kourin 04:30, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

I would say this is correct. I have seven badges, and have over 5000 Dream Points, and go to the Pleasant Forest and Windswept Sky about 50-50, but have never been to the Sparkling Sea. However, I'm only just over 5000, so my sample size is fairly small, and I have probably only had over 5000 for about two days. --SnorlaxMonster 08:01, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
My good friend has 2 badges but is about to hit 10,000 Dream Points. He's only ever gotten Pleasant Forest, and this would definitely explain why. Seems like this definitely explains it! Thanks for the info! Ndoto 13:26, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

availability on other pages related to dream world

on every pokemon's page there is a section that includes ways to obtain. I don't have the knowledge to expand the template to include dream world, but if someone were to make it, or if someone assists me in adding to the template, I would be more than happy to begin adding the available locations to several pokemon's pages. - unsigned comment from Saiucrozier (talkcontribs)

Probabilities of Appearance

Just like real Pokémon, it seems that each Pokémon in Dream World has a certain probability of appearance, with some being much more rare than others. This is just observation based on my experiences alone, however. -ContraMundum 19:53, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Berries

From my experience I've noticed berries take about 50% longer to grow in the dream world, can anyone else confirm this? Pikiwyn talk 18:51, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

I can't confirm, but I wouldn't be surprised if the growth times were increased to account for the fact that you can only go to the Dream World for an hour each day. --AndyPKMN (talk) 02:21, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
I can confirm that oran and EV berries take 50% longer to grow, I havn't tested any other berries but it should be the same for them. Pikiwyn talk 13:59, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
As far as I know, yes, this is correct. A friend and I both tried to compare growth rates compared to the Gen IV in-game growth rates and 50% longer seems to fit. Nice catch! Ndoto 15:44, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Dream Points earned chart seems to be incomplete

Today I was checking my Dream Pts. after various actions to try to get an idea for myself of what earns what. When I accepted a Dream Pal request my points went up by 30. (I assume this would need to be confirmed before being added.)

Also, does anyone know for sure that purchasing furniture isn't worth any points? I don't know. edit: Nope, it looks like swapping berries for furniture doesn't earn any points, but I think accepting a Dream Pal request is worth 30. SlowbroTom 02:23, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure accepting a request is worth 30, based on my experiments (sorry people who I befriended then deleted). --SnorlaxMonster 14:33, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
This would be very neat, I'd like to test this too! Do we know if any points are awarded to you if you're the one who sent the Dream Pal request (i.e., are you awarded 30 points when the other person accepts your request, or are they the only one who receives points)? Ndoto 15:54, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Mini-games with their own pages

As per the split proposal, I've done a Pokémon Seek article on my userspace. It needs work (I don't know how to express the formula in a nice way, though maybe it has to be an image), so I'm putting it here for everyone to contribute. Specially of help would be the Pokémon section; I have similar lists for other mini-games too, for when we create them. Memo326 05:44, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

On a related note, I'd like to suggest to place all the games in one page instead of separate ones, unless, you know, the page will get too big. How much info are you guys going to place in the articles? tc²₆tc26 08:34, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Well, gameplay, scoring, and befriended Pokémon sections are a given for each, as well as a screenshot. If someone makes a more condensed template for showing the Pokémon (we only really need minisprite, name, and gender), it could work in one page. Of course, we could also add more OCD detailed stuff like, say, the Pokémon you can be asked to look for in Pokémon Seek, or images for each color/pattern of ice cream in Ice Cream Scoop. The fact that we already have the stickiness/easiness to scoop rating here makes me lean in that direction (i.e. more info is better), and in that case I'd say each mini-game should have its own page. Except the new drink serving one, considering its exclusiveness it could be included in the area page. Memo326 23:55, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
I think they could all work with separate pages, especially based on the length of Memo's page. However, if they were all on one page it would still be better than keeping them here. If we do give them their own pages, we can go very in-depth with them, which would be desirable. As for Drink Carrying, it probably could just get a section on Pokémon Café Forest, but I think consistency would be better. --SnorlaxMonster 00:37, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
I'm more or less fine with your ideas and all, and I already know what the template would most probably look like (similar to the ones in DW areas), but is the gender thing in relation to games really already fact? tc²₆tc26 04:14, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
Well it's not just 'already fact', it's been fact since October, probably even September. If you want to check for yourself, use something like wireshark to see what gets downloaded, look for sex, and then compare it with the genders of the Pokémon you meet. They'll all match. Bluesun 05:42, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
I just found the files for the ice cream patterns, and I'd just like to point out that there are 25 of them, with a 26th one as the default/empty pattern (the one used for "bite size"). tc²₆tc26 08:12, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Yes, each stickiness/easiness pair gets its own ice cream colour/pattern. Bluesun 22:27, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Levels Gained from Dream World

I'm currently making it a goal to aim for 500+ points every visit to the dream world that I can, as me and my girlfriend raised the question "how does Dream World leveling measure up stat-wise next to in-game leveling/daycare leveling/EV training?" since in the dream world, you're not actually fighting anything, and I'd like to know if spending the hour gives a decent amount of stat boosts. I just started compiling data, but I encourage others to look at it a bit too. Putting my Mightyena in at 41, taking her out at 42, there's currently just a simple +1 and +2 stat increase across the board, even though you don't get the stat-up window when you wake up your Pokémon. I'll keep recording data to see if there's any sort of pattern or rhyme to the way this works. It'd be kind of nice if there was a nifty leveling incentive to really aim for that 500+ Dream Point mark. Starhowl 07:41, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

It's mostly likely just like using a Rare Candy. tc²₆tc26 08:55, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
That's probably more likely I suppose. I hadn't considered that because I use them so rarely myself. ~ Starhowl 01:07, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
It's like levelling up in the PokéWalker, your Pokémon's level is increased by one, you don't battle so you get no extra EVs, and your stats are adjusted accordingly. Also, any moves which could be learnt will be skipped. Except for the 'no moves learnt', like a Rare Candy. Though I wonder if Pokémon level up twice if you hit 1000 points in a session, I should try that later today... Bluesun 16:20, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
That's a good question, but good luck with that. I can hit 500 with 20 minutes to spare, but getting another 500 is nearly impossible since the Island of Dreams becomes empty. ~ Starhowl 01:07, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
You could do it by making a whole bunch of Dream Pals. --SnorlaxMonster 08:57, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
It should be possible to go up 2 levels since when you level up from 500 points the game says your Pokémon went up by 1 level(s). Pikiwyn talk 22:28, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
1290 points in one day: only one level up. Oh well, I guess not... Bluesun 12:05, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Deserted island

I've been counting the number of times you can go to the island of dreams before it gets deserted everytime I get 5-7, but that's with over 10 000 points so someone should test if the number of times changes depending on how many points you have before its added to the page. Pikiwyn talk 22:32, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Today, I went to the Island of Dreams 7 times before it got deserted with about 5,000 points. Other variables might include whether you pick up items and/or befriend Pokémon. However, I think it's sheer luck how many times you get to go there before it gets deserted. --Enervation 21:32, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Unobtainable pokemon?

I'm wondering if there's a list anywhere of pokemon that cannot (or, at least, have not yet) be obtained via the Dream World. I'm assuming that legendaries and the eeveelutions (as they were given out in a promo) are unavailable? --Urthdigger 10:07, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

It's not really best right now to make an article about Pokémon not yet available on DW since they constantly update. For now, you should just check which ones are available. There are only 5 pages to check (4 areas and the promotions article). tc²₆tc26 10:32, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
the only unobitainable pokémon is the unova pokémon. They can't appear on entree forest because there are no sprites programmed in game--Maverick Hunter 11:17, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
Well that's not right; the Unova gen aren't the /only/ unavailable pokémon. But making a full checklist somewhere of what pogeys aren't and are available shouldn't be too hard. Having to go across four pages for all the information isn't exactly constructive. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 12:09, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
List of Pokémon by Dream World area? --SnorlaxMonster 08:21, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
In fact, it would work as a counterpart to List of Pokémon found through Pokéwalker, so maybe List of Pokémon found through Pokémon Global Link or List of Pokémon found through the Pokémon Dream World. --SnorlaxMonster 08:56, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Go with something like List of Pokémon available through Pokémon Global Link since (1) available sounds "more official" that found :D (2) Event-only Pokémon are technically obtained through GL, not DW even if DW may be shown. tc²₆tc26 09:42, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
The reason I suggested just Dream World was that I wasn't sure if we should include event Pokémon given through PGL. --SnorlaxMonster 04:02, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Well, this is what my page looks like. I would like for it to be in National Dex order, but I'm not sure how to do that. Anyone is allowed to contribute. Also, there should probably be a List of Pokémon without Hidden Abilities as well. --Enervation 21:36, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
You just forgot the Pikachu from the last wireless japanese event.- unsigned comment from Maverick Hunter (talkcontribs)
Isn't that local wireless, not Global Link? Bluesun 04:48, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
It was wireless, but it has a Dream Ability. He did a page with all pokémon available with Dream Ability, so...Maverick Hunter

Well, they aren't actually Dream World Abilities. The official term is "Hidden Ability". You can get Darmanitan and Musharna with Hidden Abilities in-game, and breed them to get Darumaka and Munna with Hidden Abilities too. Plus there's the Singing Pikachu you mentioned. --SnorlaxMonster 10:39, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon movie area

Should this be counted as an area in its own right? We have a section on the mini-game but very little on the movie promotion area itself. It's given a name (ポケモンえいがのホーム), although I know it doesn't have any obtainable Pokémon. DonOfLizards 21:42, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Worldwide limit removed?

Sorry, I've just been a bit confused regarding the limit of 50 thing. Did that ONLY apply to the japanese games or does it still apply to worldwide ones, if it ever did? I just want to know because I received a response email from nintendo stating there was no limit on how many pokemon can be sent at all.

"We see that you are wondering about the sent limit. There is actually no limit on how many Pokémon you can send to your game. We hope this clears things up for you.

If you have any other questions please feel free to create a new ticket for them.

Like I said, I'm just a little ocnfused about this after reading through many forums on the subject. - unsigned comment from Lugia61617 (talkcontribs)

The article at present says that the limit was for Japan only and was removed in 2010. I don't think it was ever in place for international games. —darklordtrom 05:40, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Right. It just confused me while I was going through the serebii thread...though I might have missed something - there were too many pages. Lugia61617 06:18, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
I think that limit was actually the number of Pokémon you could have on the Friend Board at a time, and that it is still in place. --SnorlaxMonster 09:10, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Reason for...

...moving the games:

  1. The talk here didn't really do much.
  2. The info on the games isn't too long yet that they'd need individual articles.

Determining How Dream Islands Come Up

Basically, my thought is, is there some way to determine which area you will get when you go to a dream island? My second though, is if immediatly selecting the Return Home option before moving in a dream island, will it count against your daily maximum dream island visits? Today it made me go to Spooky Manor 6 times in a row, only reaching rugged mountain on the 7th time...when things stopped showing up.

So I think if anyone has any information on these mechanics it would be immensely valuable. If nothing else, to clarify what the game restricts and what it doesnt. Also because its incredibly annoying. PowerPlantRaichu 13:22, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, let me clarify since that sounded a lot more like asking for answers than I intended. After the above happened to me, I went looking online for information about those two things, and found none. That is the main reason I ask about them here. Also because its irritating but mostly because there was no obvious information available anywhere. PowerPlantRaichu 13:29, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
Immediately selecting return home does count to your dialy limit (unfortunetly). The area you get sent to seems completely "random", so it's probably based on the date and time in seconds like Generation V RNG is. Pikiwyn talk 13:47, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Oval Stone

I don't see it in any of the areas, but I just found it on someone's Share Shelf (and now it is in my Treasure Chest). Can someone find out which area it is found in? --SnorlaxMonster 13:50, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

There are plenty of other evostones as well as stuff as Ever and Hard Stones in the Rugged Mountain, as well as the Rugged Mountain having several undiscovered items, so it's probably there. Bluesun 17:02, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Resetting

I am thinking about resetting my Pokemon White game and starting again. Does anyone know what this will do to my Dream World account? Will it reset everything to where I have to start from scratch?- unsigned comment from Bindiboi (talkcontribs)

Yeah, if you restart your game you get a new ID for the Dream World (I forget what it's called now) and lose your connection to your Dream World account. --SnorlaxMonster 11:45, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
According to the customer support pages, however, if you do restart your game for some reason and need to have your Dream World account reset (for example, if someone lost their game and replaced with a new copy, or gave it away, or so on), it's possible to contact pokemon.com support to have this done. However, you'll lose everything you previous had in the old account. The info I found on it is here. --ACDragonMaster 23:50, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

How Pokemon Type affects Island of Dreams...

Has anyone heard the stats, or is willing to contribute their personal observations on how a pokemon's type affects which area on the Island of Dreams they are sent to?

For example, one of my Lucario was sent to Rugged Mountain 4 times in a row during the same visit; on another visit, three times (two of them in a row). That seems to imply about 50%, though this is obviously too small a sample to draw accurate conclusions from....

--Stratelier 01:44, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

Smogon has a list of which type results in which area. No idea what the chance is though, just that it's increased. --SnorlaxMonster 03:11, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

I've noticed that I can't tuck in my Kyurem, Landorus, and Tornadus, and I'd imagine most likely Thundurus and Keldeo (though I don't have either). This definitely has something to do with them having had received new forms in B2W2, but it isn't noted in the article. Does anyone have an idea on when the restriction on those five (four, I guess, since Keldeo was according to the article already unable to tuck in) took effect? CuboneKing 05:45, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

I'd wager it happened when PGL went back online after BW2's release. – Chosen of Mana 17:54, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
That's what I was thinking too. So should we note it in that article based on that guess or not assume? CuboneKing 19:48, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
When PGL was updated for B2W2, it was noticed at the time that Kyurem and the kami trio couldn't be tucked in, even though they previously were able to be. --SnorlaxMonster 09:59, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Berry plant artwork

Do the berry plants have artwork we can rip like the Pokémon's artwork? --Abcboy (talk) 19:15, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Bluesun, who is the one who gets most images from the Dream World (he's the one who got all of the DW Pokémon, item, and Décor artwork) mentioned that he could, and I contacted him about it and the new Décor about two weeks ago, but he hasn't responded yet. --SnorlaxMonster 09:59, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Dream Points for new rows

I put in an estimate for 6 and 10 rows and have an inkling of the ones in-between but we need hard numbers really. Any way of confirming what amount of dream points triggers new rows to be built? Below is a copy of the table with my estimates ♪Pyrii♫ talkcontrib 04:28, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Rows Lowest Seen Estimate
6 11,480 10,000
7 24,190 20,000
8 30,180 30,000
9 69,130 50,000
10 121,950 100,000

You can always check your profile after a row is built. It should be the value closest to the hundreds. Something like ??00 points should be it. Super goku (talk) 04:43, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
I already have 7 rows, it'll be awhile before I reach the next milestone. I'm going mainly off the lowest score I've seen from my friends based on how many rows they have. Unfortunately it's hard to be accurate because their gardens are only updated if they visit them. ♪Pyrii♫ talkcontrib 04:47, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

B2W2 changes

Since B2W2 released in other countries, they changed a LOT about Dream World. Here is a list of the things that I noticed they changed

  • New Mini games, such as the Pokémon Bistro (the serving drinks mini game), and the opening treasure box game (similar to the Victini special home one)
  • Area's. It seems to be random now as to what area you go to. And the Sparkling Sea, which was previously the final area you unlock, seems to be unlocked by default.
  • Pokémon befriending mini games. These seem to be different for about almost every Pokémon now. Some Mini games, such as the Ice sliding one, which was previously only in the Icy Cave, can now also be played in the Sparkling Sea as well.
  • New Pokémon dolls. They add these every month anyways, but something to be noted
  • New furniture. A LOT of new furniture.

I'm sure there's more stuff that they changed within the Dream World, but this is the notable stuff that hasn't been discussed on here. I'm gonna investigate to see what other changes they made to get it added to the articles. - Clubchloe1 18:40, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, they seem to have overridden quite a few things. For instance, I was on the Island of Dreams way more than 5-7 times, and I was still getting lots of Pokémon and items. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 01:31, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Me too. They are promoting on the GL page the Keldeo-Resolute forme C-gear skin for B2W2, Ordinary forme Keldeo C-gear skin for BW, the Pikachu doll (it says to go to the official B2W2 website to get the password, but I can't find it at all, so I'm just relying on Serebii to get it), and White Kyurem, Black Kyurem, and Meloetta dolls. I've gotten each except for the Pikachu doll. I've got a LOT of things to add to the Décor, and Promotion pages. I've noticed the Munna flower C-gear skin is unlocked by default (or did I just forget I unlocked it?). It was quite odd for me going to the Sparkling Sea for the first time with my W2 card because its unlocked by default. - Clubchloe1 18:03, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
I've also noticed that some Pokémon that cannot be previously tucked in, can now. These Pokémon I have noticed are:

But this only applies to B2W2. I haven't gotten Landorus yet to find out if it can. - Clubchloe1 18:31, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

I can confirm that the Munna C-Gear skin is default now, as is the Sparkling Sea. I can also attempt to tuck in Landorus tomorrow, but it'll probably work. Also, the reason why they couldn't be tucked in before (the same with Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect) is because they, or their new forms, were not revealed in Black and White. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 23:19, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Oh, by the way, the password for the Pikachu Pokémon Doll is on the "News" section of the B2W2 site, I believe. That's how I got it, anyway. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 00:25, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! I was trying to find it like right after it showed up the promotion on the GL page (:P). Anyways, there is only 2 areas that seem to be opened by Default now. Those two areas are:
  • Sparkling Sea
  • Icy Cave

I don't know why only 2 areas are by default because before, it was like 4. And never mind me saying that the area you go to is random, I was using my Keldeo, and I kept going to the Sparkling Sea (Keldeo is a Water and Fighting type, incase you didn't know). Does anyone know the new mini games to befriend a Pokémon for each Pokémon? Most mini games I've noticed you play the Pokémon Bistro or opening box games. By the way, KyuremsIceBlade, do you know why Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus couldn't be tucked in before? I've never been able to figure it out. - Clubchloe1 21:37, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with their new B2W2 forms, because I couldn't tuck my Kyurem in either. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 21:51, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
Ah yes, I see. I can now tuck in Kyurem in Dream world (in B2W2). Kinda foreshadowing because of the fact in BW you can't tuck in said Pokémon. Also, in BW, I can't tuck in Keldeo, but in B2W2, I can. - Clubchloe1 20:36, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Wait, what Pokémon can be acquired via DW for sequels? All from original games plus these extra (or some are exclusive to first games)? Marked +-+-+ (talk) 12:36, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

Well, I've noticed that Gen V Pokémon can. I don't think that certain Pokémon are exclusive to BW. - Clubchloe1 20:40, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
