Pika Pika

Dude, Pikachu looks *nothing* like a pika. Seriously. - unsigned comment from Blackjack Gabbiani (talkcontribs)

It does in pictures I saw in National Geographic...LedianX 05:46, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Not in any pictures I've ever seen. Pikas look more like nutrias to me. - unsigned comment from Blackjack Gabbiani (talkcontribs)

I don't now what nutrias are, but I do know that Pikachu looks like a rabbit. - unsigned comment from Pokencyclopedia (talkcontribs)

Regarding the name origin, I've been told that pikapika is an "expression for the brightness of gold", not simply just meaning sparkle. Can someone confirm? --Archaic 13:26, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

It is a very broad sound symbolism for sparkle - from daiya-ga pikapika hikaru (diamonds sparkle) to pikapika-no kagu (well-polished furniture), from hoshi-ga pikapika hikaru (stars twinkle) to pikapika-no ichinensei (not even going to try to figure this one out). I suppose it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to say "gold shines" using pikapika. - 振霖T 14:48, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

pikapika-no ichinensei. Gah, I never wanted to hear that again. One company uses that almost like a motto in every one of their rather annoying ads. They're probably in some of the old encodes I did. --Archaic 01:13, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Is there any official source that states that its name comes from pikapika and not from the pika? ShinyTalk | Contribs 00:33, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Honestly, Pikachu has the best name in my opinion, as it can have obvious meanings in both Japanese and English. As stated, Japanese has pikapika (sparkle) + chuchu (squeak). PLUS Pika (animal related to rabbit) and chu being homophonous to the English word "chew", like gnaw, as a rodent does. ^^ Official evidence or no, you have to admit it'd be some coincidence if the world's most popular Pokémon just happened to be the only one with such a perfectly suited name, neh? :3 Heart of Thorns 23:34, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Pika (the animal) is pronounced "pai-kuh", not "pee-kuh". The similarity in spelling is purely coincidental Vienna Waltz 22:09, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Kanto Native?

I noticed that in the games, Pikachu can only be found "in the wild" in the Kanto Region. In GSC, Pikachu was only on Route 2 in Kanto, in RSE, it was only in the Safari Zone, which contained only "imported" Pokemon (that is, no Generation III Pokemon), and in DP, it's only in the Trophy Garden, a place that's basically confirmed to be importing Pokemon from other regions.

These "coincidences" lead me to believe that Pikachu is native to the Kanto Region, and its appearance everywhere else is due to humans bringing them to other locals.

Ignoring anamonlies like Pokemon Ranger, would it be a stretch to say that Pikachu are normally found only in Kanto as a piece of Trivia?--PikamasterADV 19:37, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

What is your reason for ignoring Fiore? --FabuVinny T-C-S 18:44, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I'd think it's Kanto-native, too, but yeah, Fiore brings up a problem. I do agree, though, that they plopped in in the Hoenn Safari Zone so that they could have an excuse to have it in the Hoenn Dex. --TTEchidna 19:25, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Because it's a "Side Game". And then you include the "wild" Pikachu in Mystery Dungeon, the Pikachu in Trozei!, and the "gift" Pikachu in PBR and Japanese Colosseum. Ranger also has Wild Starter Pokemon, Wild Fossils, and other anomolies, so I didn't include it. It was mostly a thought about the core RPGs. --PikamasterADV 20:34, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Your anomolies don't mean much. The Trozei Pokémon are not wild, nor are the gift Pokémon. Orre only has nine wild Pokémon, none of which cause issues. Mystery Dungeon is set in a different dimension. However, Fiore is an established region with links to the world of the main RPGs. Starter Pokémon have to be found wild somewhere so being specific to Fiore where trainers are not found makes a lot of sense. The only fossil there is Aerodactyl, which is suitably found in an ancient area, not that fossils are that special any more.
You can mention that it is the case in the handheld main series but the side games still count in the canon. --FabuVinny T-C-S 00:31, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Fly and Surf

How can Pikachu learn fly and surf? I know Gameshark can but can anyone write something to show really how? Kiewzhenyi 15:16, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

IT CAN'T! --Theryguy512 17:30, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

There are special promo Pikachu that learn these moves, but there is no way to teach a Pikachu these on its own. --DarkfireTaimatsu 18:54, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

I know that it can only be obtained through promos. I think writing in a more detailed way, exactly how it is being obtained and events to obtain it in the article would be more helpful. Kiewzhenyi 13:02, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

The TCG has a card called Flying Pikachu. The Pikachu has balloons tied around it, so that it could fly. Its attacks are Thundershock and Fly. - unsigned comment from Metagross72 (talkcontribs)

Old Glitch with the Yellow Pikachu. Use it in one of the two Stadiums through all eight battles in one of the cups and it can learn Surf. I personally have never been able to do it because I could never get my pika high enough to battle in the Cup, but I hear it can be done. Only method I know of. Xanhawk22:51 Dec. 21, 2008

That wasn’t a glitch, it only occurred in Stadium 1, it specifically had to be a Master Ball round, and any Pikachu would work… IIMarckus 04:55, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

GSC Tail

How is Pikachu's tail backwards in GSC? Could someone show me? I can't tell!--KukiTalk 18:51, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Look at the two backsprites, and compare it to those of RSE and DP. Tina 18:54, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, but doesn't Pikachu's tail move around to different positions? Couldn't the staff use the excuse that the Pikachu turned its tail?--KukiTalk 19:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Of course. Same as the excuse to have Ash leave all of his Johto team at home before Hoenn. TTEchidna 20:36, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
U don't need to be so rude about it!--KukiTalk 20:45, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Huh. In any case, it is quite apparent that they were trying to make the tail look more like a thunderbolt. ~ Zeofar 03:41, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Sexist!?

The heart-shaped tail of the female Pikachu is criticized as being sexist? At least that's what a user put in the trivia section. I haven't heard of such a thing. Anyone else? ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 16:15, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Now that you mention it... How could I have ever forgotten? ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 18:36, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Indeed, I would have to agree with that sexist theory, using this spectrum of thought; what do we associate hearts with? Love and cuteness. Not all females are cut and love-obsessed, I can assure you that... ((Forgive me if that argument sounds somewhat incoherent, as I am somewhat sleep-deprived.)) --Deoxys Ribonuke

Well, then I guess Heracross is sexist too then? As well as May's Bulbasaur. This is stupid, who ever brought that up? --ケンジガール 00:43, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

The Legend of Thunder! (Japanese: ポケットモンスタークリスタル・ライコウ 雷の伝説 Pocket Monsters Crystal: Raikou - Legend of Thunder) is a made-for-TV anime movie. it has movie in it.- unsigned comment from Justine53 (talkcontribs)
It's not really a movie seeing as it was only seen on T.V and/or DVD, Not in Cinemas (I think). --Force Fire talk 06:53, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
There are currently 11 (to be 12) Pokémon movies. Mewtwo Strikes Back, The Power of One, Spell of the Unown, Pokémon 4Ever, Pokémon Heroes, Jirachi: Wish Maker, Destiny Deoxys, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, The Rise of Darkrai, and Giratina and the Sky Warrior. To the Conquering of Space-Time isn't yet released, but when it is in July it will be #12. Mewtwo Returns and The Legend of Thunder aren't movies. They're special episodes. In Japan, LOT and MR were covered in an hour, since LOT wasn't broken up by the morons at 4Kids over there. They were released in DECEMBER, not JULY, and DID NOT APPEAR IN JAPANESE MOVIE THEATERS. They aired on Thursday night at 7 like regular anime episodes for their debut. TTEchidna 08:01, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

How often has the species appeared in the anime...

...when it wasn't owned by Ash. In fact, was Sparky the most recent live Pikachu to appear? TTEchidna 10:16, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Uh...wasn't there a Pikachu named Sugar in DP024? ...but I think it was only a Pikachu in flashbacks. When it finally showed up it was a Raichu. -Sketch 12:21, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
No, it wasn't seen in flashback, and did not appeared in the episode at all, as I recall. TTE's right, if we are to count only the live Pikachu. --×Kevzo8 13:22, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Well that's an interesting thing then. Another one's not been in the main anime since JOHTO. TTEchidna 05:03, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Pikachu replacing Clefairy...

"Pikachu was not the original Pokémon mascot. It was supposed to be Clefairy, but this was changed because of the popularity of Ash's Pikachu."

This was stated in a interview? If someone has the source, I would like to see it.

And I wish that statement would be more specific. When was decided that Clefairy would be the mascot? Was it when that crappy Pokémon manga proved successful in Japan? Or it was decided from the start, and the manga used Clefairy because of that? Spideym 22:54, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon Pikachu?

Light Ball in FR/LG?

This article says that wild Pikachu from Firered and Leafgreen can have lightballs. The item page says that only Pikachu from R/S/E/D/P/Pt can have lightballs. Has anyone definitely found a lightball in FR/LG? Cause I've been coveting like mad at the Power Plant and found none so far.--Gsnipe 00:38, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Humorous Detail

"Although its Pokédex entry in Yellow states that a Pikachu will try to bite anyone that yanks its tail, Pikachu is unable to learn Bite.

   * However, Ash's Pikachu has bitten him a few times in the anime. "

I didn't know a Pokémon needs to know Bite in order to bite you. Don't you think it's kinda silly to point out some thing any animal with can do regardless if it's a attack? User:roconza

The stomach pouch

In the trivia, it states that "In Pokémon Red and Blue, Pikachu's sprite shows it having a yellow stomach pouch. This is never shown again in later generations" - But two things - 1. The same area was in Pikachu's Green sprite and it could just be shading. So, should that be removed? Ugoz 08:36, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Nothing is over of belly to give it the shadow.--ForceFire 08:41, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Then we should basically say the same about Raichu. It's just color shading. We take most other sprite trivia off because this was just the first few years of their graphics, so why doesn't this get taken off for that reason? R.A. Hunter Blade 15:57, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Raichu is supposed to have a stomach pouch--ForceFire 10:05, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
It's not a pouch. It's just coloring. That's what I'm trying to tell you. R.A. Hunter Blade 13:41, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Cuteness

Brock states in "Showdown in Pewter City" that: "(Ash's) Pikachu is at his cutest stage. He cant win." Should this be added to the Physiology or trivia sections? - unsigned comment from Grubdubdub (talkcontribs)

Sprites

Is it worth noting that a shiny Pichu is the colour of a Pikachu and a shiny Pikachu is the colour of a Raichu, or is that too obvious to mention? --Poppy Appletree 05:20, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

I'd say Pikachu's shiny is more of a darkish gold then brown. I agree on the Pichu one though. However, this is sprite trivia, so there's a chance it won't be added.--ForceFire 07:20, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
That's why I asked on the talk page instead of adding it outright. --Poppy :3 07:40, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Light Ball Stats

I'm not sure if those Light Ball stats are correct. It says "5%" to capture a Pikachu holding a Light Ball, which should mean one in every 20. However, it took me to capture almost 40 in order to get a Light Ball. (38 captured to be exact, with 7 encounters that fled.) Wouldn't this mean that the chance of capturing a Pikachu with a Light Ball is less than 5%? FrozenStrategy 13:49, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

I don't think the hold rates for wild hold items go below five percent. With 38 individuals if the rate is correct there is a chance of 0.00749 (3 sig. fig., If I did the maths right), or about 0.75% chance of that occurring. Unlikely, but you may have just been unlucky. Legendary Pokémon, Veekun, Psypoke and Marrilland all say it's five percent as well. If you have the patience, try it again. Another set of data will help determine if the results are skewed due to random chance, or if there is something wrong with the percentage. Also, just for the record, which game is this in and how/where are you catching them? Werdnae (talk) 20:51, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
I'll do it again some time. The results were worth it. I was playing Emerald and catching them in the Safari Zone. FrozenStrategy 20:09, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Caught Pikachu

I used the Mew Glitch to catch another Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow... It's still refusing the Thunderstone. Do all Pikachu caught in Yellow refuse the Thunderstone, then? Raikami 21:36, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Considering it was a Glitch the game probaly wasnt programed to make another pikachu dus it counting as the same as the pikachu you first got. XXRaigoXx 13:05, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

In yellow, any pikachu that you obtained (you are the OT) is considered by the game as your starter pikachu, therefore exhibiting the same restrictions.Leafgreener in 2010 22:14, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Pokéathlon Stats

On my copy of SS, I've captured 2 Pikachu. The first had the stats listed on the article, the second had different stats. Was it a slight bug in the game or does this need adding to the article? FrozenStrategy 16:30, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Those are the base stats. The actual stats are affected by nature. There are more details here. Werdnae (talk) 20:07, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon Black And White Dream World

I couldn't help but notice that Pikachu's PBW sprite somewhat resembles the Platinum one. A recent screenshot is one of the less recent articles CURRENTLY on the home page of Serebii.net if anyone wants to go look, and it's been in videos on Pokemon Sunday too. - TommoPuppy 15:20, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

I'd think that would count as sprite trivia, which isn't allowed, or at the very least is extremely frowned upon. --AndyPKMN 20:21, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
They recycled a lot of DPPt sprites. Just look at Gyarados, Charizard, and Scizor.--Cold (talk) 20:28, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Well in pikachu's sprite it apears that the gave a little edit on the ears on one frame of the animation, but it's still almost the same.--Pika3323 19:58, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Pika+Pika=More Pika?

When ever I enter the viridian forest in Heart Gold with a Pikachu in the first slot of my party, then I find more Pikachus! Whenever I enter without a pikachu I find barely any! Why?--Pika3323 20:32, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

It's because of Static, Pikachu's ability. It increases the encounter rate of Electric-types. Werdnae (talk) 20:49, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Lean Mean Electric Machine

Pikachu has notably gotten thinner and thinner throughout the years, not just in the anime, but even in the games and manga. Is this mentioned anywhere? I mean other than Caterpie this is the only Pokémon that has drastically changed in the anime, games, AND manga. (In the case of Caterpie, Caterpie only changed in color slightly.) --Landfish7 16:38, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Trivia

Wild Pikachu are available in every region except Johto and Unova. A player would have to travel to Kanto in order to find wild Pikachu in Generation II.

I highly doubt the claim that Pikachu or Pichu can be found on Dream World. Is there a source for this claim? Weixifan 01:27, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Since no one has put forth any source for this claim or replied to this comment yet, I will remove the claim from the main article for the time being. It can't go into Bulbanews because this thing was really old and created around the time when Pokemon was first introduced. It's more something that's better suited for trivia, but we cannot add trivia yet. Rai Marshall 04:27, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Name origin

Could it be possible that Pikachu's name also comes from words 'pika' (ぴかぴか - sparkling) and 'chu' (中 - inside/throughout)? I'm not 100% sure about this, but it would make sense. --Buglaux 15:05, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Trivia

"Prior to Generation V, Pikachu is one of the few Pokemon to be present in every Generation's regional dex." Shouldn't this be added to the trivia? This also applies for Tentacool, Zoobat etc... Flygonfanno1

I don't think so. There is too many pokemon that this also applies to and we would have to add them to all the other articles. Plus there is a current ban on trivia so it's not gonna be added for a while. --Pokemaster97 14:52, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
There aren't too many: Pikachu , Tentacool, Zoobat, Magikarp, and their evolutions are the only Pokemons, and I don't think I missed others. Flygonfanno1
That's a good point there arn't too many, but we can't add trivia right now :/ --Pokemaster97 15:02, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Some sprite trivia

In White (and probably Black as well), when viewed in the Pokedex, Pikachu's sprite is like the one shown in Pikachu's sprite template, but when viewed in the Forms section, it has its mouth open. I don't think this happens with any other Pokemon? Vuvuzela2010 18:39, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Availability in Blue (Japan)

Under "Game locations" it says that Pikachu can't be found in the wild in the Japanese Blue Version. Apart from the fact that this sounds highly unlikely, Pikachu isn't listed on the Japanese Blue Version's missing Pokémon list. Perlgia 10:31, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

It is found in the Japanese Blue, but only a handfull of them have been added to the locations section (Jynx, Lickitung). Also, the current catch template doesnt have an option for the Japanese Blue, though I'm working to fix that. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 17:59, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Iron tail?

I've looked through the whole page, and pikachu can't learn iron tail naturally. but on the egg move calculator it says you breed aron with nidoran M, breed the nidoran with female pikachu to get iron tail. Proof: http://waitingforseedot.appspot.com/moveset?id=pikachu&id=&m=Iron+Tail&m=&m=&m= I don't know if this is true but... - unsigned comment from VictoryStar (talkcontribs)

Pikachu can learn Iron Tail via TM23 in Gen III. It can then be transferred to any Gen IV game and then using the Relocator then transferred to a Gen V game. :) Frozen Fennec 03:42, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
I seem to remember it knowing it by event a while back, too. Or did you mean that Pikachu learning Iron Tail by breeding should be on the page? --Darth Zekrom 03:49, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
I don't know but I'm saying look at this link, is it right?--VictoryStar 12:59, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
I think that it looks pretty accurate seeing as that is how chain breeding works. Breed long enough with just the right Pokemon and they can know moves that they would normally not learn via level up, move tutor, or TM/HM. Frozen Fennec 16:16, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Then could someone test it out and see if it's true? And if so, add it to the pikachu and the iron tail pages please.--VictoryStar 20:44, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Actually, I think the waitingforseedot website only calculated breeding tables for DPPt. I don't think it's caught up with BW (or even HGSS). So I'm pretty sure Pikachu can't legitimately learn Iron Tail this generation. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 21:07, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

There should be a section in the moves page for "moves via transfer from previous generations".

Pikachu

Does female Pikachu ever appeared in the Anime? If it doesn't, then we must write it to the Trivia. TheSeviper ♫ハブネーク♫ 16:26, 09 April 2012 (GMT)

Not even close to notable. Not all Pokémon with notable gender differences appeared ion the anime yet. Raticate for example.--ForceFire 13:32, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Overworld Sprites

Why aren't there any overworld sprites on the "Sprites" section of Pikachu, and all the other Pokémon, like there is of Red? TorNyan 21:38, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Pikachu trivia

Hey! I'm sorta new here, but I have something to bring up for the Trivia section: Pikachu is the only starter Pokémon to have only 2 species in its evolution chain in the game it was a starter in (in Pokémon Yellow, there was no Pichu- only Pikachu and Raichu). For every other starter, both before and since Yellow, the evo chain is 3 Pokémon (Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard). However, since Gold/Silver/Crystal, Pikachu has had a 3-link evo chain like every other starter.

I'm not experienced enough at wiki editing to do this- I have this feeling I'm gonna break some rule and get the part erased, or get banned, or something.ThePoketrix (talk) 12:47, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Colosseum had Espeon and Umbreon as starters. q~Bisumito~p Tell me something. How have i helped BP? 00:22, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
And, might I add, Eevee was the rival's starter in Yellow. q~Bisumito~p Tell me something. How have i helped BP? 00:26, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Sprites?

The 5th Generation sprites are all mixed up. The four non-Shiny sprites for BW and B2W2 are the same, all with a closed mouth like the Platinum sprite, while the Shiny sprites for the four games all have the open mouth. Also, the female Shiny sprite in BW has the extra black on the ears, which the non-Shiny is lacking. The sprites seem to all be there, just not in the right places. I don't know how to fix them, just thought I should point it out.Magentafeelings (talk) 19:01, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Generation V actually has inconsistent spriting for Pikachu within the games themselves. The animated sprites (Pokédex forms function and battle) have open mouths as the first frame, while the statics (PC Box and all other Pokédex functions) have closed mouths. Because the normal sprites are animated, and the shiny sprites currently are not, that is why they are inconsistent. Additionally, the same problem is true for the ear inconsistency. In Black and White, the aforementioned static sprites had the Platinum-style ear coloring for female Pikachu, while the males had the updated ear coloring. Black 2 and White 2 repaired that specific inconsistency of the static sprites. Nothing is incorrect for the sprite versions that are currently supplied. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 19:56, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Close Relatives

I noticed that the part in the Physiology section about how Pikachu may be related to Emolga, Pachurisu, Plusle, Minun, Marill, and Maccinno was removed. While its deletion was logical considering this theory has nothing to do with Pikachu's physical appearance, can we at least add that to the trivia section? I feel it's worth noting. Nintendo101 (talk) 02:11, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

I removed it because I don't feel physical comparisons between Pokemon that aren't canonically related are noteworthy. I'm hesitantly in favor of grouping together the so-called Pikachu clones that are clearly made for marketing purposes (Pikachu, Plusle/Minun, Pachirisu, and to a lesser extent Emolga), but Marill and Cinccino have no business being grouped there at all unless we're going to mention every Pokemon with a similar body style on every Pokemon page, which would be ridiculous. Also, I object to the way it was phrased ("related to"/"distantly related to") because it's inherently speculatory and suggests a degree of genetic similarity that has no canonical suggestion of even existing in the Pokemon universe, much less being possible between these particular families. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 02:25, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

I understand that its just speculative and it has no business being in a section about Pikachu's Physiology, but I still found it interesting. Nintendo101 (talk) 02:43, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

I find it unnotable and not a pattern due to Generation II not adding an Electric rodent. Yes, Pichu is from Gen II, but it's not a separate species.--ForceFire 02:48, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

Pikachu sprwayt

Pikachu's sprite in rs and frlg looks exactly the same. I compared it. Should the FrLg sprite be deleted and replaced with the rs one because it's exactly the same? Lickiman (talk) 12:22, 18 July 2013 (UTC)Lickiman

We keep separate files for different games, even if the sprites are identical, so that our templates function correctly. Also, please add new sections to the bottom of a talk page, and don't add a big blank space between sections. Thanks! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:42, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

Volt Tackle

Volt tackle is listed in the table for moves learned by breeding, but shouldn't it indicate that a held light ball is required for this? I know that it says this elsewhere on the page, but I feel like it's important to have in the table itself. Is there a way to indicate this? Nors (talk) 17:01, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Done. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:30, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Add these sprites

Could a user able to edit this article add these archived sprites to the Other Sprites section? I really don't know why very few of these C, FR/LG, Pt, and HG/SS sprites make it onto each Pokémon's page. World Cup 2014

Pikachu has been selected to be Japan's Mascot at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. I am not sure where it would be added, so I am posting it here. Please someone add it to the appropriate place, or tell me where I could put it myself. :) Tacopill (talk) 01:28, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Pikachu's Beach

Should there be a section about this, or a link to the article about it, or should this be a piece of trivia? Rmac524 (talk) 21:49, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
