Multiple dialogue sets

Something that may be worth investigating: in Rescue Team and Explorers, the Partner's dialogue throughout the game is slightly different based on their species. In Explorers, there seem to be 3 different sets of dialogue. In Rescue Team, the dialogue changes are supposedly much more elaborate.

Documentation on this mechanic seems to be spotty, but it could influence how the Partner is characterized.
