Is there a Mr.Psychic in B/W?

Is there a Mr.Psychic in B/W? - unsigned comment from DrBrock (talkcontribs)

Nope. He only lives in Saffron City. --SnorlaxMonster 01:16, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Not Notable?

Why is this page considered not notable? Isn't Mr.Psychic just as notable as the Copycat? Also it's how you get Psychic (move) in Generations I-IV (although in the III and IV it is in the remakes), so what if someone wants to know where to find Mr.Psychic?, or if they want a little more info on him? If this page is deleted then they won't be able to find that info here.(SONICバリヤ 15:20, 24 May 2011 (UTC))

All he does is give TM29 (Psychic), nothing more. The Copycat actually has some relevance to the plot. This page would be redirected to Saffron City#Mr. Psychic's house if it is deleted, so the problems you listed are non-issues. It seems that the only reason he has a page is because he has a name. --SnorlaxMonster 15:25, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Just like the first guy, I don't think this page should be deleted. You say that all he does is give out that TM, but all Copycat does is get that ticket, as well. And Primo also does jacksquat, apart from making a cameo in each of the remakes. So why isn't he up for deletion as well? I'd say either leave it alone, or delete all NPCs with pages that 'don't do anything'. Don't Hug Lucario! 19:20, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

I say if it's gonna be redirected than that's fine. When talking about Copycat she has more plot depth in Heartgold and SoulSilver so she's necessary in an article. Mr. Psychic gives out a TM that's it. So if it gets redirected it'll still say Psychic (move) is available at his house. We don't need character depth in an article about this particular NPC.--GMAN202 15:57, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Thing is, Mr. Psychic does nothing other than give a TM. He has like two lines of speech, and then gives you a TM. He has no impact on the plot, and you can go the entire game without even visiting him. There are Trainers in other places who have names and do about the same amount, but we don't give them articles. There are people on Village Bridge with names, there are people in a house in Icirrus City who run a quiz who have names. If Mr. Psychic had even once appeared in the manga, even if it was incredibly minor, I would not recommend this page be deleted. But as it stands, he has a name and that is about all. --SnorlaxMonster 16:04, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
I agree. Unlike Copycat, Mr. Psychic has no plot relevance in any medium, and only appears in one medium to boot. Copycat had a TCG card, and actually had a role in the plot of G/S/HG/SS, in that she gives the player a key item. And the comparison to Primo is silly; Primo actually has some backstory, at least as far as his family relations are concerned. Mr. Psychic, on the other hand, is only slightly more memorable than, say, the NPC in G/S/C who gives the TM for Headbutt, and that's because Mr. Psychic actually has a name. --AndyPKMN (talk) 19:25, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Personally, I think that Mr. Psychic's information is relevant, but does not need it's own page. Transfer this information to the Saffron City page.
I oppose the deletion! He's a character who has appeared in each generation. He isn't really less notable than Mr. Game, DJ Snap, Webster, Dude, Mr. Goods and countless others. --Maxim 09:31, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
Also opposing the deletion, for the reasons Maxim just gave. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 18:15, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
He's not in Gen V. And his only appearances in Gen III an IV were in remakes. My opinion is, Delete. XVuvuzela2010X 18:26, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Furthur more the characters Maxim stated are also very minor and unnotable characters as well. I say delete this article.--Pokemaster97 18:27, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
His appearances in the Johto-based games are simply because he has always lived in Saffron City, and his FRLG appearance is because it is a remake. He is no more notable than the random named Trainers that you battle. Mr. Game and Webster really don't need articles either, but even they are more notable than Mr. Psychic. We were at one point considering putting all the unnotable DJs on one page. Dude is a capture tutor, making him notable. Mr. Goods basically has a page for the list of items which he gives out. --SnorlaxMonster 14:23, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm going to have to say that it's probably a good idea to delete this page and give him a section here. The only difference between him and all the other random people who hand out TMs is that he has a name, and that's really not enough to help his case. EvilKirikizan speaking! 23:10, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
As long as we don't remove all of Mr.Psychic's information I think it's fine. Why not move Mr.Psychic and the other NPCs like him to the same page?SONICバリヤ 21:03, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
I oppose the deletion! He is as notable as a few characters you made articles about! Mothim will rule all! * (and Dustox will too!) 03:26, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Or, on second thought, why not move this page to "TM givers" or do it like "TM givers in generation I", "TM givers in generation II", etc. and add info on all other TM givers. Those would make more interesting articles I think. Wildgoose-The friendly goose in town! 14:37, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
I, honestly, oppose the deletion. While his significance to the plot might be nil, we've also got to think about the flow of the site. Many users, myself included, hate going to a city's page, to find the "Areas of interest" to have no pages. It also demolishes their characters. If Nintendo and GameFreak thought he was insignificant, they'd have removed the sign infront of the house. There are plenty of TM givers who do have names but don't have signs, because they're unimportant. This guy is. Keep it. Jdrawer 18:04, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
"There are plenty of TM givers who do have names but don't have signs, because they're unimportant." I can't think of any examples of this. Unless you mean that all Tm givers must have names, but we just don't know them. And why would Game Freak remove the sign? They don't remove things like that. And I don't think a TM givers page is necessary; List of TM and HM locations should cover everything it would. --SnorlaxMonster 11:24, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
@SnorlaxMonster: TM givers have dialogue rthat could be added, that's why I think a TM givers page is relevent. The above comment is supported by Wildgoose. 01:01, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Remake Quotes

Where are the remake games' quotes for Mr. Psychic? Are they the same as the games that they are a remake of? ~Enervation 22:15, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
