List

Would anyone be willing to compile a list of abilities that are negated by Mold Breaker? Diachronos 17:04, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Um. Well pretty much it just ignores the abilities completely. You can use a Fire move on a Flareon and it'd hurt it, or a Ground move on Gengar and it'd be a goner. Provided you were fast enough. TTEchidna 18:44, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
But my Cranidos attacked a Pikachu with Headbutt and became Paralized by Static. Explain that! (That was today or last night, too!) Me and my fellow torchics agree on this - Sk8torchic. 20:56, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Err, static doesn't prevent you from being hit, it only paralyzes those who do it, so Mold Breaker does nothing. CubeShapedWatermelon 21:32, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
More specifically, Mold Breaker negates all abilities that would have an effect on a move itself (e.g. Wonder Guard or Battle Armor), but it does not stop abilities with effects before or after an attack (e.g. Static or Rough Skin). Hope this helps (and that I wasn't too late, just now looking at the timestamp).--RiverAura 22:18, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Double/Triple battles

Does Mold Breaker do anything to/for allies in double and triple battles? --ルレ 23:28, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Mold Breaker only affects targets of the Pokemon's own attacks, and only temporarily.Gymnotide 06:20, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Levitate

If a Pokémon with Mold Breaker is in play, and it negates the opponent's Levitate, then will a Levitate user take damage from Spikes and Toxic Spikes, considering that their ability is negated? Or not? --GoldenSandslash15 (talk) 17:14, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

vs. Contrary

Mold Breaker also ignores Contrary. (at least in Gen VI - anyone care to confirm G5?) --Stratelier 19:33, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Nevermind, I see it listed in the G5 section. Maybe we should reorganize the description and have the list of affected abilities in one place instead of being split by generation? --Stratelier 19:36, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Flower Veil vs Mold Breaker Roar

While I can guess what would happen in this case, I think it's still best to test it (since Magic Guard behaves oddly). If a Pokémon with Mold Breaker/etc. uses Roar/etc. and forces a Grass-type Pokémon to switch in while it has an ally with Flower Veil, will it be poisoned by Toxic Spikes or have its stats lowered by Sticky Web? --SnorlaxMonster 14:42, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
