:::Nope, he was definitely seen by Giovanni beforehand (He was seen talking to them about how Mewtwo belongs to him, Misty and Brock yell that he doesn't and they won't allow him to harm Mewtwo any longer, and THEN they unleash their pokemon on Giovanni), and even IF he wasn't exactly seen them beforehand, Giovanni was tipped off on who the kids were by Domino (In the Japanese version, at least, though don't take my word for it.).

I do not know the Japanese title but, knowing Japanese, 我ハココニ在り should probably be 我はここに在り. I'm guessing the use of 我 instead of 俺, 僕, or 私 and 在り instead of あり is a statement about Mewtwo's character but I think the first thing I pointed out was a typing error. ==Few questions==
Hi guys, I have few questions to ask:
*The American dub wa released as a direct-to-video, but was it ever shown on tv?
*Many European countries dubbed the special, did they show it as a tv special or as an home video movie?
* Did some European country also translate "The Uncut Story of Mewtwo's Origin", besides the first two minutes that were attached to the beginning of the first movie?
*In the American dub, they left the Pokémon with their original voices in the scene where Mewtwo walks into the light, as we hear Blastoise saying "Kame", from Kamekkusu.
*Sometimes we see 5 Team Rocket airshhips and sometimes we see 6 of them, is this a mistake?

*Looks like I'll be watching this again tonight...
**The American dub was direct-to-video and near as I can tell, was never shown on TV. I may be mistaken, as it may have seen a TV showing later, but I do not have a TV and thus cannot watch it to be certain.
**I cannot say for the European releases. I'll ask around, however, see if I can dig anything up.
**I'll need to watch it again to be certain, which I shall do tonight.
**Again, I'll need to watch it again, but it's likely a continuity error.

*Alright, have the DVD in right now, and I counted five blimps for the majority of the scenes in which they appear. There were only one or two distance shots in which there were six blimps. As it was established that there were five, then the sixth blimp is in error.
*Blastoise is indeed saying Kaaaaa-meeee! in the sequence where Mewtwo surrenders to Giovanni. Trak Nar (talk) 02:55, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
Red/blue machines
Forgot to explain why in this edit, but I removed the error about those machines because the blue one is shown changing color when Mewtwo tries to destroy it. Don't know why it does that and stays red, but the change was intentional. —TheVeryBest 05:08, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Release dates
What are the correct release dates?
*The Japanese version aired on December 30, 2000, and this seems an undisputed fact.
*The Japanese home video release is listed on the English Wikipedia as March 21, 2001 for both the VHS and DVD, but this article doesn't have a date for home video releases; from what I understand, it seems the Japanese Wikipedia mentions the date of the DVD release as August 29, 2001.
*According to the article Weekly Pokémon Broadcasting Station, it was also shown on TV Tokyo, divided in three parts, on October 29, November 6 and November 12, 2002.
*Australian VHS/DVD release: the article The Uncut Story of Mewtwo's Origin says the date is August 17, 2001, and the English Wikipedia confirms this.
*The biggest problem: the date of the American VHS/DVD: this article says December 5, 2001 and the date is confirmed by Dogasu's Website; on the other hand the article The Uncut Story of Mewtwo's Origin, the English Wikipedia and the Japanese Wikipedia all say the date is December 4, 2001.
*The English Wikipedia reports a UK release date:February 11, 2002.
--Abcd (talk) 17:37, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
:A few notes that might help:
:The UK release was VHS-only, which tend to be ignored here it seems. If it helps, I believe it was only released as a double-pack with VHS volume 11, so their release dates should match.
:The JP home video release was on 27 June 2001 for rental VHS, 29 August 2001 for retail VHS, and 7 July 2001 for retail DVD according to pokepale, a fansite that has been running since 1999.
:It's also been shown divided into two parts during the BW era on Pokémon Smash! in 2011 Bluesun (talk) 05:30, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

Nope, he was definitely seen by Giovanni beforehand (He was seen talking to them about how Mewtwo belongs to him, Misty and Brock yell that he doesn't and they won't allow him to harm Mewtwo any longer, and THEN they unleash their pokemon on Giovanni), and even IF he wasn't exactly seen them beforehand, Giovanni was tipped off on who the kids were by Domino (In the Japanese version, at least, though don't take my word for it.).

Japanese title

I do not know the Japanese title but, knowing Japanese, 我ハココニ在り should probably be 我はここに在り. I'm guessing the use of 我 instead of 俺, 僕, or 私 and 在り instead of あり is a statement about Mewtwo's character but I think the first thing I pointed out was a typing error. Kanjo 19:15, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
