Name

Meowth calls her of "Matori-Sama" in BW025, this is the real character's name?--Hikaru Wazana 22:10, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

I would be interested to know this as well. --The Great Butler 08:16, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Further analysis suggests that yes, Matori is her name. May I suggest a move, then? --The Great Butler 02:51, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Thing is... she's never in the credits as "Matori". She's always "Giovanni's secretary". So I'm unsure of what to do here. --ケンジガール 04:38, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Personally, at the very least, if it was up to me I'd at least put up a vote like we had for Shooti VS. Shooty for some time. Although, I think it's worth noting that she hasn't appeared since the episode in which Matori was first used, and Kiyomi Asai's role in the next episode is likely voicing Cottonee. --The Great Butler 02:26, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
But in the very same episode she was introduced as "Matori", it still said "サカキの秘書" in the episode's credits. Why not call her "Matori" in the credits if that's indeed her name? --ケンジガール 03:03, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Ad-libbed, perhaps? I don't know, you've got a good point. Does "Matori" mean anything in Japanese that might make it a title and not a name? --The Great Butler 03:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
The only thing I could find relating to Matori was マトリクス matrix. --ケンジガール 04:04, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Bizarre. I guess we'll wait for the dub then. --The Great Butler 01:58, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Her Chinese name is 真鳥, which would be a reading for Matori.--神智の超龍對話 15:07, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
To me it's a fine proof. But most people here most likely want to wait for the English dub. We're 4 weeks ahead of the revelation of her English name (most likely, I hope they don't leave her unnamed), so I'm not sure if it's worth moving her now. --Maxim 09:04, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Well, nothing. Now what? Ataro 13:17, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Eh, stupid PUSA. How about Closed Captions? If not, then just move her to Matori. --Maxim 15:56, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Supported. Given the Chinese name, move it to Matori and note that she has no English dub name. --The Great Butler 21:58, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi, is there any update on this? Been curious for a bit. --The Great Butler 08:15, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Move to Matori

See above for what I feel is the evidence. She was verbally identified as Matori in the Japanese version, and in the Chinese dub, she is also named Matori. I feel this is enough to justify considering it her name. --The Great Butler 00:18, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

I think it should stay Giovanni's Secretary at the moment until a english name is announced. AquaMaster 00:19, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
We have acted in the absence of names in certain languages before. --The Great Butler 00:41, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
I agree with GB. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 04:23, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
I agree. It's kind of similliar to characters of the day that don't get names in the dub. We usually keep them at their Japaniese names until an english name ever comes out. --Pokemaster97 04:26, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Pokemaster97, are you supporting the move or against it? If you're supporting it, I'll go ahead and do it, given the lack of activity on this one. --The Great Butler 04:27, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm supporting the move. I don't want to get in trouble though. I'll wait like 10 mins to see if anyone else wants to comment before I move it. --Pokemaster97 04:32, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Since they call her "Matori" in the Chinese dub, not to mention that Meowth also referred to her as "Matori-sama", that pretty much confirms it. Sure, go ahead. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 04:47, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

Name confirmed in English

In DP191 where she first appears talking to TRio, she says "Matori, I'm the one who sent you Delibird" Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 12:32, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

This is a way late reply, but she doesn't say that. Technickal (talk) 14:48, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
