Just wondering if the an before HM is intentional or if it's a typo, because to my understanding, since H is not a vowel, it should be a, not an, shouldn't it? Or am I simply confused? --[[User:Bomyne|Bomyne]] ([[User talk:Bomyne|talk]]) 21:00, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Actually, no, an is used when the word afterwards begins with a vowel ''''sound'''' not a vowel. H is pronounced "ahch" or something like that and therefore uses an. (Similar being hour (an) and one (a). Also, hello Bom. waterlubber 23:57, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Pokemon

I think this article should have a list of all the Pokemon that the Master ball are needed for a the game it is in. Gliscorguy54 21:04, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

WRONG. The Master Ball is NOT needed to catch ANY Pokemon. Ever. I caught Zekrom with full health in an Ultra Ball. -LZ 21:11, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I had actually caught a Dialga in a normal pokeball so yeah master balls are not needed to catch anything. - unsigned comment from Mewtwomaster (talkcontribs)
We do not need a list of Pokémon that the Master Ball should be used for. That's called a stategy guide and they aren't welcome here. たかはり 00:11, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
The information on hard-to-catch Pokémon already exists anyway, though not portrayed as a list of Pokémon Master Balls should be used for. From that list you can see Dialga is ten times easier to catch than some Pokémon. Bluesun 00:22, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Fail rate

I read there that a Pokémon with catch rate 3, full hp and no ailments can get out Master ball with 0.4% chance. It is true? Marked +-+-+ 21:31, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that is true. Master Balls can fail. -LZ 04:14, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
It says something similiar to that in the trivia. たかはり 05:14, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... since the Master Ball CAN fail (albeit the chances are astronomical), does that mean the Park Ball will fail too? They are both 255 times more potent than a regular Pokeball, so... what WOULD happen if the Park Ball failed, if it could? Gold3263301 11:38, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

You know that's a good question. I'm assuming that you won't be able to get the Pokémon you sent over, unless it would let you go and find it again. --Landfish7 21:57, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

The Master Ball CANNOT fail within the current parameters in the latest games. If you read the Catch rate article, the variable a would equal 255 with maximum HP, no status condition, and the Master Ball, the "worst case scenario" when using it ((3xHPmax - 2xHPmax) * 3 * 1 * 255 / 3xHPmax). Since the probability of catching a Pokemon is 1 if a equals 255, it will always work. The Youtube info only refers to RBGY. I don't know why the trivia is there; it should be removed as it's patently false. Starscream 03:35, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon Colosseum Requirement

Something I found out which is quite interesting; if you visit Eagun after receiving his master ball email but don't open it, he won't give the master ball, instead apologising for his not sending of any emails. If you then read the email while still in his house and then talk to him, he will ask if his email was received and then hand over the master ball. It isn't quite a glitch but an oddity. Black/white 2 trivia

Could it be worth mentioning that Black2/White2 is the only game that you can get(for sure, without lotto) more than 1 masterball? - unsigned comment from PortalDark (talkcontribs) 15:49, 29 October 2012‎

No. You could get two in Black/White without lotto. One in the storyline, one from the guy in Castelia's Pokémon Centre after making 50 trades. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 15:59, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
