001Bulbasaur RG.png Due to special coding in place in the article, the artwork featured on this article will change every year on November 21 and October 15 in celebration of the releases of Gold and Silver in Japan, and Gold and Silver in the United States. This will only affect the artwork shown in the infobox. This changes every year, so when the time comes, here to return to the page and change the display.

Topps card

I have a copy of the Topps card that calls Marill "Pikablu". If I scanned it and uploaded it, would this be useful? Aura-Knight 03:08, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Scan it and lets have a look. MaverickNate 03:24, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Gotta find my scanner or borrow someone else's, this could take a while. Aura-Knight 17:01, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Aqua Tail

On my diamond, my Marill has Aqua Tail, and it's level 25. I just caught it in the Great Marsh. Isn't that weird??Shadow lucario 02:30, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Are you sure it's not Aqua Ring??? --Theryguy512 02:32, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh, yep, it is. Ugh. I feel dumb. :P Shadow lucario 02:39, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

It's okay. I mess up all the time to. ;-) --Theryguy512 02:46, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

HG/SS

Doesn't Marill have HG/SS artwork? CubeShapedWatermelon 02:57, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Nope its artwork was updated in Generation III. ZestyCactus 03:00, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

The artwork

Why does the artwork say "From HeartGold/SoulSilver", wasn't that artwork from FR/LG? Ugoz 07:02, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

I've fixed it. The person that has been upgrading the pages must have made a minor mistake. Mistakes are much easier to make when you're doing the same thing to a lot of pages. Werdnae (talk) 07:11, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Location location location

On Location and Trivia regarding Marill's location in the Johto region should change to include the Route 48 --Xaigon_paladin 15:43, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Name origin

Isn't Marill's Japanese name just a transliteration of its English name? Or even the other way around? --JMBJMB 03:15, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Pikachu clones

Should we add under trivia the fact that it's the only "pikachu clone"(emolga, pachirisu, plusle and minun) that isn't electric type? (Hijinga (talk) 04:26, 19 June 2012 (UTC))

The thing is, it isn't a Pikachu clone.--ForceFire 04:32, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Maybe the correct wording is "Pikachu-like" Pokémon? :--SuperAipom7 (Ask me anything!) 04:39, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Fairy-Type

Can you please add a Fairy-type to Marill? Also, apply it to Azumarill! --- unsigned comment from TheShinyMew (talkcontribs)

Guys and girls, we are updating pages as we can, this has just been announced. We aren't super computers, and no, we won't unprotect the pages for user help currently as not all the supporting templates have not been updated to allow them to display correctly as of yet. Also no, nothing confirms that their type has changed as well. --Spriteit (talk) 15:43, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Possibly reasoning behind Marill being a Fairy Type

A lot of European versions of the "Tooth Fairy" myth/story have the fairy being a mouse as opposed to a human-fairy, however the mouse is still referred to as a fairy. I believe the region is assumed to be based off of France, and I think France also has the "mouse tooth-fairy" version of the myth. It might not be the only reason, but it's possibly and influence as to why Marill's type is Water/Fairy. - Takoto 14:53, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
