Phantom Thief! Pokémon 7 Article

For the Phantom Thief! Pokémon 7 Article, should I use PTP701?

Kingofun 07:44, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good. ZestyCactus 18:30, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Umm

Why is the main page theme Snorunt and Froslass?

PS: You can get rid of this and reply on my talk if you'd like. --ケンジガール 05:16, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

September 9 and some other things. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 05:21, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
I figured it was for September 9th, but why? --ケンジガール 05:35, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

... I know, but WHY? What does Froslass and Snorunt have to do with 09/09/09? D= --ケンジガール 06:25, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

SPOILERS!!!!!!!

201
Spoiler warning: this article may contain major plot or ending details.
201

I added some spoiler warnings to the pages about movie characters, as they contained major spoilers for the movies in which they appeared, but then someone deleted them all! Surely it's really important to have warnings on these pages?! Taromon777 14:13, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

If you dont want to be spoiled, then dont look at the page. Simple Blake Talk·Edits 14:36, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
But visitors need to be warned that there are spoilers on the page! What's the point in having any spoiler warnings at all if only some of the articles with spoilers have them? Some people might read the Latios (anime) article example, thinking it doesn't contain spoilers because it has no spoiler warning, and then find out the entire plot of Heroes before they watch it! I know this is an encyclopedia, but it is still really important to include spoiler warnings on all the pages which contain them. Why don't the articles about movie characters need spoiler warnings even though they contain the exact same spoilers that the articles about the movies do? Why did my spoiler warnings get deleted? Please can I have some help from an administrator? Taromon777 09:41, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I dislike spoiler warnings. May I ask how you believe how we can have an article about anything without filling you in on some kind of plot detail? We may as well put it on every single page. —darklordtrom 09:46, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I didn't mean a warning for EVERY spoiler, just the major ones. No, we don't need a spoiler warning because an article mentions that Ash sees through Team Rocket's disquise for the three-hundreth time, but if the article mentions that Latios dies, I think that REALLY needs a warning, don't you? Taromon777 10:21, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
We don't need it most of the time but some of the bigger stuff (the few deaths, MD2's plot twist) could do with a warning. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 17:57, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
OK, so should I add one to Latios's article? I'm just worried I might start an edit war if someone removes it again. Taromon777 18:18, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Help!

Can someone tell me on how to include VS in the middle of 2 gym leaders, add winner at the end of two gym leaders and move the whole thing to the left? This is the thing:

Standard Pokémon Images

I brought up this topic on the Project Pokédex discussion, but I didn't get any replies, so I though I'd bring it here instead. This is just a suggestion... do you think it would be better not to use the Emerald and Platinum artwork on the Hoenn and Sinnoh starters' pages? I've noticed that on the official online Pokédexes, as well as recent official books, their RS and DP artwork is still used, and appears to be their "standard" artwork. I know they are the more recent, but Ken Sugimori's Emerald and Platinum illustrations are simply promotional art for those games, and are not considered "standard" by Nintendo. What I'm trying to say is, if Bulbapedia were an official Pokémon site overseen by Nintendo, the Emerald and Platinum artwork wouldn't be used in the main articles, they would use the RS and DP art instead. Does anyone agree with me? Sorry if I made this sound confusing, I didn't really know how else to put it! Taromon777 09:54, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

I get what you're saying, but I disagree. We use the latest Sugimori artwork. It is official artwork, even if for consistency Nintendo uses the RS and DP artwork. --electAbuzzzz 10:05, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

New Routes?

Why aren't there articles for Routes 47 and 48 yet? Shall I create them? Taromon777 16:43, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, feel free to create them. People probably just haven't got around to it yet or haven't got that far. Solar Dragon 17:10, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Actually it is protected from creation. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 22:27, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
All we know is that they have some trainers and a few other things. Not much to go by right now. R.A. Hunter Blade 05:49, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
I went back to my roots and took care of making both at least to par. More details will be added when we get them of course. TTEchidna 06:41, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Serebii.net has screenshots of the new routes. Do you think they would let us use them on Bulbapedia if we asked nicely? --Taromon777 17:02, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Serebii gets grumpy when we take his images, so probably not. –MasterKenobi 17:06, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
We'll get our own ASAP. Juuuust gotta find the, ahem, thing to do so. TTEchidna 10:22, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

It's a day after the anime premiered. In the US, that is. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 22:08, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
And by anime in the US I meant Johto Journeys and in Japan AND America. Probably completely different from TTE's reason though. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 22:10, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Nope. Day GS came out. TTEchidna 13:06, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Creating Userspace Tabs

Is it possible to create user: tabs? If so, how? Tandra88 02:15, 10 October 2009 (UTC)tandra88

You mean a tab like at the top of the page? (article, discussion, edit?) It may be possible to make one with user .css coding, but it's a bit complicated, especially depending on what you want it for.
But what do you need one for? Are you asking how to make one for yourself, or suggesting a new tab for the wiki itself? -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 15:04, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
No, I mean the tabs that appear on your userpages.Tandra88 19:38, 10 October 2009 (UTC)tandra88

Heartgold Soulsilver pics

How come routes and cities still don't have new pics from HeartGold and SoulSilver up yet?- unsigned comment from KantoLegend (talkcontribs)

the game have been out for over a month now should someone have done it yet? --KantoLegend 22:04, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
We'd do it if we had them. Clearly, we don't. —darklordtrom 22:08, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
You act as if it's easy to get those maps. Camera hacks and about 300-400 screenshots need to be edited together to do them. TTEchidna 10:17, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
How do you make maps for DS games when the perspective of the 3D world changes every time you move? --Taromon777 09:53, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Magic, of course. —darklordtrom 09:55, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
If the games didn't have maps, then the locations would simply not exist. Even though the graphics provide a more realistic perspective of the in-game world, the maps are still 2D. ;-) Pokemon lover 19:32, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
I never knew that! Well, you learn something new every day! --Taromon777 22:48, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome. ;-) Well, I said that in a very summarized way; of course it is far more complicated than that. Pokemon lover 17:27, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Lemonade

I saw the note on the main page about Lemonade being orange juice in Japanese. This is not the case; in fact it's a sweet milk drink. I have corrected the information on the Drinks page. See the talk page there for more info. Thorf 14:50, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Unprotect the Pokémon pages

There's no need to protect the pages for the Pokémon species anymore since Studio Bebop shut down. --Shiny Noctowl 20:40, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

The staff know what we're doing. Hold your horses. You'll get your pages back soon enough. —darklordtrom 22:28, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Besides, what if Studio Bebop is trying to continue their work underground? If we unlocked the pages now and it turns out Studio Bebop's not actually dead, then Studio Bebop could send someone to mess up our coding just to get their application back up and running, quite possibly someone who would sockpuppet to keep making their employer money. We'd best off wait until it can be undoubtely confirmed Studio Bebop has met its demise.
Actually, how can I be sure you're actually on Bulbapedia's side here? A request like this sounds quite possibly like something an insider working with Studio Bebop might ask for...--Shiningpikablu252 22:40, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
I've been wondering, why were all the pages protected in the first place? I mean, I know there were non-visible changes being made to them, but what exactly? From what's said here, it sounds to me like the pages were being edited specifically to sabotage that Pokedex app or something. Missingno. Master wants YOU! Join the Order of the Glitch! If I revealed any more, I'd have to permablock you. --Shiningpikablu252 23:58, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Pokémon pages will be unprotected mid-month. Maintenance work, you see. TTEchidna 05:34, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Isn't Studio Bebob infeinging? Can't we sue the company or send a message to apple requesting its removal from the app store? -LugiaRocks (TalkEdits) 05:40, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
A lot of talking has been done behind closed doors. It isn't too much of an issue now. We've already taken into consideration what you have suggested.--RexRacer 17:37, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
