https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUqvAXZ4MXg someone tried to explain how magcargo's temperature could actually exist without destroying earth, but he doesn't go into too much depth about the thermodynamics. Simply, magcargos small volume, mass, and surface area compared to the sun prevent it from releasing as much heat into the environment. I would just add this in the trivia section under the sun info but I don't know how to prove this or where to get the information from. If someone here knows about thermodynamics, maybe this should be investigated? [[User:Pallukun|Pallukun]] ([[User talk:Pallukun|talk]]) 22:21, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

Edit Request

Magcargo in the anime Pokedex entry 'occasionally emits lava from the rock that encircles its back' to 'occationally emits the lava from its back that circles its body'. Please and thank you. Littlmiget123 15:32, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

First of all, it's occasionally like it is, not occationally like you want. Second, are you sure that that's what Ash's Dex says? R.A. Hunter Blade 01:17, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

alright, i just checked the anime, and yes, it does say that, even though it sound very stupid. and second of all, sry, i made a typo, y make it a big deal? Littlmiget123 12:09, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Hold up...

I understand that we have to strike a balance between believing the 'dex as fact against the fact that it occasionally makes big mistakes (Wailord is lighter than Hydrogen? What?!) but how does nobody else find it very, very wrong that Magcargo supposedly has body temp that is very nearly twice that of the surface of the sun, yet it doesn't cause everyone around it to be vaporized? Sure, anime physics and all that, but I think this is one where we can safely say that the "data" is bull. (for reference, the surface of the sun is approximated to 9900 degrees Fahrenheit, while Magcargo's body heat is suppoedly 19000 degrees) Nonasuomi 19:14, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Error

Why is this page using Magcargo's old Sugimori art from Generation II instead of the Sugimori art from HeartGold and SoulSilver? Shiramu Kuromu 18:53, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Most of them are doing that. I've been kinda wondering that myself... Littlmiget123 19:17, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

note?

Thermodynamics may explain high temperature.
